Ive noticed seeds on a few branches they all started female and turned on me and i dont know why!!

Im wondering if someone can list me the main reasons female plants start producing seeds??

and beacuse they turned male does that mean it wont spread to the other female plants??

Thanks for your reply.

being pollinated is the only thing that makes a female plant make seeds, your plant/s went hermie on you
light cycle interruptions are the main cause of hermies, it can also be genetic Your sure they are seeds? if you have a hermie or hermies it will spread pollen throughout the area, pollinating the other plants, but it wont cause any plant that isnt a hermie to turn hermie. their is really nothing you can do at this point, have you found the hermie/s and removed it/them yet? its kind of late in flower to use dutchmaster reverse and penetrator and if the plants already popped its sacks and pollinated itself and the others the dutchmasters cant reverse that. all it can do is kill any male flowers and stop more from forming, any seeds that are forming will continue to do so. if its not real bad yet it might still be worth a shot.

i havent removed the hermies im not to sure if its worth it at the moment. i reckon it might be a light leak, do u think hot days and cold nights will cause a plant to turn male aswell?

no, I dont think thats why your plant hermied on you. a light leak is a much more likely culprit and you just said yourself that you think you may have had one so thats what most likely caused it imo, if it wasnt caused by that it could just be genetics, Find the hermies and pull em out, try looking at the plants that would of been exposed to the light leak first. that will also probally confirm if it was a random genetic thing or if it was from a light leak.

In my 6th week my girls went to seed so I started to germanate some more seeds (bagseeds) and I have enough seeds to plant a forest next year. This was my first time to grow me a stash and here I have learned a lot and will do better next year thanks to all the pros on RIU.

The plant witth the seeds in it,prob.isnt the male..Its just gotten polinated from a hermie. The one thats hermie has some male pods hidden somewhere.looks like small bananas sticking out from the bud itself..Let it finish...
