I'm pretty sure you can make a female turn hermaphrodite through stressed conditions. If the plant think it may die it will do anything it can to reproduce. Genetic traits are handed down through cloning a male is a male and a female will be a female. I am pretty sure that a female can turn hermie.

Genetics are only changed by breeding and NOT cloning.
Just like i said seed genetics are very similar to human genetics.
males are males and will not change.
females are females and wont change.
Hermies is a mix from both parents making the embrio gay/hermie. Nobody turns gay or hermie by choice as they are born that way due to unstable genetics passed down from their parents. When their parents genetics are stable (X+Y) then there will be a balance with genetics that can NOT be changed.

so what you're telling me is a female cant turn hermie? why is it that a female can be flowering just fine everything going great and 7 weeks into flowering you start seeing balls what is the reason behind this? you think if what you were saying is rite the balls would be present much sooner then 7 weeks in, they should have developed in the early stages of flowering....even the article you posted youre exerpt from said there can be outside factors that cause hermies.

No that would have a little % of hermie genes in the seed embrio for nanners to show very late in flowering as i have had it before many times showing as late as 2 weeks before chopping. Most hermie plants dont show their sex until full adulthood just like people and plant seed embrios and plants.
And i am saying "Fdd" told me this point blank and he is not wrong and i am only telling you what he taught me in no complicated terms. I will never forget what he told me about this as he hit me HARD with the FAQ.

i have to agree he is a knowledgeable guy but from what ive gatherd in the past year of research ive been doing a hermie is formed out of desperation/stress and one mans word aginst 1000 others really isint guna sway what ive learned.

Don't hate him because you are mistaken.... to much change in light or over stressing the plant during veg too much or to many times can alter weather your plant will be male/female/herm PERIOD! it has the ability to change sex during growth just like a frog weather you really want to believe it or not... TRUE STORY Genetics does help but does not garanty dominance over male or female and every now and then you will get a retarded herm seed but you also can make your plant a herm by being a jackass.Stay off my nuts !!!!!!!

So if your right, then is a clone from a hermie a hermie and why. Conditions are that the vegging and flower box will be better built than the original box that made it go hermie. Secondly if you clone from flower with a hermie bud then can you get a female? It would after all be switching back to veg.

Yes, because it is genetically identical to mother you cloned it from. If her hermie trait had been activated, then the clones will have that same trait once flowered.
Genetics makes up a big part of the hermie debate, but it is by no means the full answer.
