I just germinated 5 female Killing Fields F3 seeds. first time CFL. I got 600 watts going (timer too ofc). I'm growing in a 8x4 closet covered in mylar (not foil. I know the mroe lights the better too.

ATM the just germinated seeds are in little pots, about 6 inches away from the lights all ways around (most are up straight to promote growth but plenty on the sides as well.

Any advice or everything seem good so far?

Pics later today :)

BTW Thanks for letting me in your community. bongsmilie

Also 600 watt CFL 5 plants...what should I expect roughly? NO LST, got nutes.

Heres day 8. 3 of the 6 survived. One is doing incredibly well. The others okay. One got a touch of heat stress (caught early) the other I think the same. All I know is NEVER use those bio degradeble starter cups that you "directly transplant" with. They uck up all your water. Befroe I transfered the other one into a clay pot it was very heat stressed cause of that.

The grow closet. 12x4

The best one :)

The one just put into a clay pot

The one caught early with heat stres and stretching :)

Update: The one very badly burnt one died. Although the roots looked rotted. The other small one is actually making a come back. That one and the REAL strong one transfered. The strongest I'm going to clone and LST due to the hand I've been dealt...think it may be the last time I go to sannies =/

are you flowering from seed? What temp are those bulbs, are they 2700k or 6500k? I think you are using too many lights for right now. It's good you have that many for flowering but you simply may not need it all right now. They are waaay too hot :(

I just can't imagine how I would keep the light close without burning with that much wattage :O Seems a bit like overkill to me.....but if I didn't have to worry about temps I'd probably have 800watts in my closet right now....lol!

Ya know temperature hasn't been a problem since I added the fan and left the closet door open cracks. Infact almost all the lights are warm enough to touch. And I'm not convicned it was over heatage due to the fact I got one LOVLEY seedling as you see. Completly gren, not even a hint of burn. The lights are 4-5 inches away on all sides too. I honestly think it was either a genetic problem or these stupid bio degradabele transfer pots. I say the pots because theyre like a psonge, they suck up most of the water. Either way the temperature is at 76degrees F. So I'm going with genetics (maybe I just don't want to blame myself)

Anyway I just added the basic CO2 mash thing (and plan to distill alcohol once it's done in 2 weeksish) Anyway there is only 2 plants left. One that I just transfered from those horrible pots I bought with minor stretching, and the other I transfered into its permanent pot. It's already starting to work on it's third node.:hump:

Anyway I got one sterling haze seed left and one Killing Field left. I'll probabley germinate the KF for indoor and the sterling for out. Hopefully even the smaller plant makes it (every litle bit helps).

OH and they are currently in veg 19/5. I plan to veg for ATLEAST one month, probabley more.

I am only using x1 105w 5500k for right now while they are seedlings. Once a week or two has gone and they get bigger i will add the rest of the bulbs but ya it seems like you are just running your electric bill up for nothing. I dont think it actually speeds the process up... not one you can actually notice anyway. But yes all those bulbs will definitely come in handy when the plant is actually bigger.

I deffinedly notice a difference in the good plant in size and time compared to my old 250 watt set up. I really do think it was just bas beans =/ I never had these problems untill i ordered from sannies. So im gonna try a different site and clone the uck outta this plant. but still. I expect a big beautiful plant and a decent yield. If I get a oz Ill be happy :)
