ummm wat is a MAOI never heard of that
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors are a class of powerful antidepressant drugs. I'm not saying go take prescribed MAOIs and combine them with mushrooms or other drugs. Nature provides many mild MAOIs including St. Johns Wart and black currant juice that don't compare to the synthetic accuracy of prescribed MAOIs. Knowing which foods to avoid while on MAOIs is also important. Tyramine, tryptophan, and tyrosine should all be avoided, although when combined with a mild MAOI like black currant juice the chance of complications arising are minimal to nonexistent. When using a MAOI in conjunction with mushrooms it is important to lower the dose...I would not take more then 2-2.5g of mushrooms. Educate yourself about MAOIs and read up on the proper precautions before trying it for yourself.ummm wat is a MAOI never heard of that
