Hey Everyone! I'm new here, and have just a few questions about my first grow..

Hello all! Just registered and am pretty impressed with this site and its members so far. I am currently in the midst of my first grow, and have just a few questions. I'd appreciate any feedback I can get. First of all, I must admit that I threw these seeds into the soil before really doing any research on light cycles growing season/conditions, etc. I planted them on October 20, which I have now come to learn is the complete back asswards time to plant. However, my plant is now 4 weeks old, and is actually looking pretty good. I am doing an outdoor grow on my balcony in Orlando, FL. I have also come to learn that in the vegetative state, a plant needs 16-24 hours of light to fully thrive. My balcony faces the west, so my plants are in shade until about 1pm, and then get sun for about 5 hours until 6pm every day. Obviously, this is no where near sufficient light to grow a huge monster of a plant, and I'm wondering if this plant will even yield any sort of successful results. My guess is that this means the plant will immediately go into the flowering stage before it is properly mature and produce little to no buds. Just today, I looked at the plant and noticed that it is now starting to show signs of lady parts, which is great news. However, this means it is about to flower right? I just ordered some indoor lights, which should be here on Wednesday, and I am hoping to move this operation indoors and begin proper photoperiods. My main question is, is it too late to put the plant under some lights on a 16-24 light cycle and keep it in vegetative growth? Or should I just accept that this plant could just be a lost cause? I do plan on taking some clones and doing it the right way, any thought on if it is ready to do so? Any thoughts/criticisms/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You could alternate between the balcony and indoor lighting now that it has shown its female make sure it gets 12/12 everyday from here on out with no light leaks and you should have a decent harvest. Do 5 hours natural light then finish rest inside and then dark cycle...try to follow nature and being in florida you can year round use the sun to help lower electric bills and let the sunlight do most of the work. Its never a lost cause since you know it is a female do all you can to make her happy! good luck!

Yea, that's your best bet to move it inside, otherwise you will be disappointed.
Good luck, and give us some pics so we can see :eyesmoke:

There's an intermittent problem going on for a few people right now, pics, icons, and just confusion in general, but it could also be trying to decide if it should post 2 copies of your pics, one here and one on your duplicate thread.

Welcome to RIU.As said becareful outside anywhere,Alot safer inside growing. Its not to late if it has flowered just put it on 18/6 might look strange for awhile but if its a female it should be fine.

Take clones for sure and get some lights, and enjoy the grow.

You know what they say about opinions, LOL
It's just that sometimes people take another's opinion personal, one of them has thin skin, then that's when it gets to the name calling:roll:
If everybody would just have a smoke, and just ignore the views/ opinions they don't like, there wouldn't be any fussin'.
