Hey Fellas!

Hey guys! I got two auto-flowers growing right now; Dinafem White Widow Auto and Delicious Seeds Northern Lights Blue Auto. I was wondering if any of you guys had experience with these particular strains, or even auto-flowering from these particular seed vendors. Furthermore, in general, how is side-branching on auto-flowering strains? I've seen a couple of pictures of auto-flowers with just one pathetic looking main cola, yielding like 3-9 grams. Kinda sad. Anyway if it helps, they're each in 3 gallons of FFOF under a 400 watt MH for vegging and will go under 400 watts of HPS for flowering. What should I expect fellas? Thanks!

PS I have no pictures right now, but they've only been growing for like 5 days and are just on starting to develop their third set of leaves.

If I recall correctly, DinaFem WW has some good reviews. No way to guess yield accurately esp if its one of your first grows tho.

To prevent one cola with low yield, do some lst! You can get 10+ colas that way. If you gorw them well, 3 gallon pots should let you yield over an ounce each.

Think Low yield can be for many reasons(Mostly the Growers mistakes or Setup) though do remember reading that 1st Gen of Autos was not so good, but I think that was many Moons ago. Things move on...Times change...

I topped in my last two grows and have been displeased with the results. Also, since autoflowering strains have a finite life-cycle, I've been told from multiple sources that it's best to keep stress as low as possible. So don't LST autoflowers

I grew Dinafem WW auto and yielded over 1 oz on a single main cola with side branches. Very good smoke.

Well, topping I won't vouch for, but I do know the world record AutoMazar plant was topped so if you do it at the right time to a healthy enough plant and the right strain, you can get good results.

LST however, IS exactly what you said. LOW stress training. Keeping the stress as low as possible. The plant wont be stressed much if at all from bending it around. If you start supercropping and crushing/folding stems then you are adding a little bit more stress. Still not as bad as topping though supposedly.


Definitely give lst some thought before you reject it though.

If they sidebranch I'm totally gonna be bending the branches around absolutely. I use smart pots, and cutting a hole in the fabric and looping string through it is so easy it's a crime not to do it. Also, it's such low stress that honestly I didn't even consider it LST. LST to me is topping and fimming, which might not be what everyone else considers LST, but compared to those, bending branches is hardly even stress I think. Sorry about that brochacho!

No prob! Yea lst without any cuts goes perfectly with autos on a schedule.
