Hey guys, new to the forum, growing at the moment, a few tips would be nice please.

SO this is my setup, i had it in a cup the first 6 or so days, it is now at 2 inches in a much larger pot with MG, and i water it enough so its moist all around, and not dry, but it seems that it has not changed in the past couple days, i have one 65WATT lamp over it and a construction lamp about 2feet away from the pot, and there is tin foil behind the pot so the light reflects, i have both windows open at least 6hours a day and one window open not as much 24/7 i also talk to my plant, just to keep the spirit up and i heard it does in fact help the plant a little.
also my schedule for lighting is on between 12PM-6AM off from 6AM-12PM
indoors, first time growing. tips, help, general talk. whatever you feel like, just post feedback please and thanks, fellow stoners and growers.

Probably using an incandescent or halogen lamp in the aluminum hood?, and not sure what kind of bulb that work light uses, but probably not what you need. You'd definitely have better results with a CFL. Also probably better off starting your seedling in a beer pong cup or something smaller, not exactly sure how it works, but I'm pretty sure it makes the root mass bigger / stronger, rather than starting off in a big pot. Might also want to hook up a small fan to blow on the plant and strengthen the stem. What kind of soil are you using?

Is that a Halogen? My dads a Foremen, they use that to dry compound because of all the heat it outputs I'd ditch the halogen and get some CFLS, 6500k Veg, 2700k Flower, the more the better, and from reading on here everyone says MG is a no no but whats done is done. Also, from what I've been told, its good to let soil dry up a bit before you water again. Oh, and tin foil is not terrible to use but any bends and they'll create hot spots from the angles. lol Yeah, I talk to my plants to, I speak life and try reading to them from the bible, lol. Try to get a Hygrometer, like $15, that way you can check the temps and humidity and make sure they are in the proper range, I'm almost positive they're baking in that halogen, also, a small fan would only help, I use a huge window fan, I just keep it on low until I can get a better clip fan/ oscillating fan.

i have hear dfrom many reliable sources that the construction lamps work well, bc of the heat they produce, and i had it started in a small cup like that, just transferred it yesterday, was it still too early? and i have both of my windows open with air flowing into my closet where the plant is

MG probably can work, I've seen a few people have some success with it, but more than likely your plant will be pretty stunted and nute burned early. Your reliable sources were wrong about the construction lamp (assuming it's halogen), the heat is great sure, but it makes very little usable light. Probably transplanted too early. As for strengthening the stem, I don't know if a gentle breeze will help much, buy a cheap fan.

well, im getting 8 afghan kush seeds today, and i only have miracle grow, no pots, i have a small like 10watt florescent light about 4inches in length, a maximum 40watt lamp, a lamp post with 3 lights on it, idk wattage yet, and i only want to grow like 1 or 2 to start. so i need some major help/$$

As far as pots, improvise, look around your house for something you can use, just make sure you clean it well first and that you make drainage holes, I've seen people use party cups, beer cans, milk jugs. Also, is the 10watt light a CFL, or a tube? You need more lights, if you VEG and FLOWER with a 10wat light, of unknown spectrum, I can only imagine the terrible yield you'll get. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, just telling you how it is. Don't use incandescent bulbs, they'll do nothing. CFL's are pretty cheap, look em up, check out a few grow journals and you'll get an idea of what you really need. 1 light isn't enough for 1 plant, (when its 10watts), let alone more than 1 so thats something to consider. Honestly, I wouldn't waste your seeds until you have a proper set up.

nonononnnoonooono the measly 10watt is sitting on the sidelines perse, i ahve a 60watt over it and then the construction lamp is 250watt
and i think the 3light lamp imm getting is around 40-60watts a bulb

also, i was thinking, my timer has 2 outlets, should i just put my surge protector strip on the timer, and then i can have 6 lights running on a timer?
