Alright guys so a friend of mine gave me two plants that have sprouted and are in fact in soil.

My question for you is:

What the hell do i need in order to grow two plants indoors (in my spare room)?

I took a giant cardboard box and laminated it with tinfoil... Then i placed two medium watt lamps (household) into the box with the two little babies.

I need some guidance and this will be where i post updates/questions/errors i'm having with the plants..

Remember that these are indoor and only a couple of weeks old if that.

Thank you for your guidance.

If you need pics.,...you`re doomed !!

If you have a spare room,..you already have more space than most here that I`ve seen so far.

Put up some pics. of what you got going on so far, it helps to see rather than guess !!

If you end up with two males,..don`t blame anyone !!

You're looking for information on:
Lighting
Venting
Nutrients and nutrient levels
Plant development
Odor control
Common problems

You do need to do some reading in these areas and then ask specific questions. For example, "I don't have $300 for an HID ballast and bulbs, but I do have two plants here. What would I need in CFL to grow them?" You'll get the info you need that way. Because right now I'm going to tell you to invest in lights, at least 400W with MH and HPS bulbs. But that might not actually help you.

If you're starting with a foil-lined cardboard box, I'd say the first thing you need is money and a game plan, but that's just me. ;)

You need a secure dedicated space that you can easily control
You need to never tell anyone. Ever.
You need to make sure one of those plants is a female or you're just gonna waste a lot of time and effort
You need to navigate the site and find a grow journal that resembles your situation so you can learn as you go
You need to keep things simple the first time through. Don't worry about yield or pretty plants. If you can just harvest your first time, you're ahead of the curve
You need to remember that all plants need to grow is decent soil, water, light and some food....give it those. But never too much or too little
You need to do your homework. You seem very lost and want things handed to you, but you'll have to do some work if you want this thing to be worth it
You need prepare for the worst. Keep Bug strips, organic pesticide, extra bulbs, towels for spills. Assume you'll have pests.
Don't get cute. Water. Light. Soil. Air. Fertilizer. That's it.

that's what I got off the top of my head. I'll find you some links and answer any questions you have if you need any other help homie.

400w High pressure sodium setup, What size are the plants? How big are the pots they are in? Foil isn't the best thing to use, white paint is usually better, if you can get mylar, even better. You're eventually going to need nutes for your plants. etc etc etc. There is more than enough information on this site. Not all of it is good though, so read alot and make the best decesion with the information at hand.

Happy Growing.
