30x 30 x 1.5" aluminum waterblock (formerly some university research surplus gear) bought on ebay with through holes exactly at 2" on center (see cob holders are a perfect fit)
what would you do with the ability to ice-cold chill 91 cobs?
that was the side they used to mount, its got raised 1" round pads around the holes and the cobs would not sit flat. this flat side is the 'back' i suppose (which kinda sucks as then the water ports are on the bottom and ill need to attach a vent to the top of the block to vent airSo what's the other side look like?
If he ran CXB chips at only 5 watts, what would he need the heat sink for? Lol91 cobs in a 3x3 would be impressive lol. Run them at 150ma (5w) and maybe break some gpw records
to hold them all togetherIf he ran CXB chips at only 5 watts, what would he need the heat sink for? Lol
Like at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark",they just end up a puddle.i would use it as a security mechanism. if any intruders get into the room you crank them from 5W to 150W each and melt the flesh off of their eyeballs
It would be good knowledge to know for spacing and cob placement. Know anyone with FLIR equipment?i dont think its baffled. may be able to tell with a heat load and ir thermometer
its welded so cant be opened.
you can see the 2x fittings in the opposite corners int he first pic
SMOKIN'!i would use it as a security mechanism. if any intruders get into the room you crank them from 5W to 150W each and melt the flesh off of their eyeballs
