When you said that ...it took me a couple of seconds to realize: I'm sitting on my couch ...I'm unemployed!so who's sitting on the couch unemployed today?
wait, you saw this from your office yet today you are unemployed? what happened? When you said that ...it took me a couple of seconds to realize: I'm sitting on my couch ...I'm unemployed!
I would say I'm already bored with unemployment but I just built a new 25-site aeroponics rig that appears to be leaking all over my room ...so that should keep me busy for a while!
On-topic: I was in NY for this and from my office you could def. tell it was AF One. The fact that an F-16 tailing it and it was flying as low as it was made it a little creepy. We read about it on the news literally a couple of seconds after we saw it so someone must have known the reaction that was to follow ahead of time.
Yeah baby! Ain't capitalism grand? I was in NY over the last week to discuss a restructuring effort within our company.wait, you saw this from your office yet today you are unemployed? what happened?
gotta love the internet.Yeah baby! Ain't capitalism grand? I was in NY over the last week to discuss a restructuring effort within our company.
I took the voluntary layoff route. I consider myself to be very lucky to have had that option.
I decided to work in NY over the weekend and yesterday ...had some vacation time to use up before I started my true foray into unemployment, which I'm doing all this week. I guess I'm technically not unemployed until next week but I don't plan on going back into work so I'm considering this couch sit an unemployed couch sit.
We saw the plane in lower Manhattan and I had CNN.com up on my PC so I hit refresh and there was a breaking story regarding AF One. Crazy how quickly news travels!
I was amazed at how quickly it was on the front page of every news site. Like I said, it was as if someone knew they f'd up and knew they were about to induce panic all over Manhattan.gotta love the internet.
yes, he should be blamed too. however, medicineman try not to get offended when people talk crap about obama. bush sucked .. obama sucks too. our government is going in the shitter. this is a time where both sides have to stick together.. no pointing fingers .Shit should go up hill. The failure of those staffers reflects on Obama, thus Obama can be blamed.
Just because he wasn't aware does not mean he is not culpable.
I guess this should apply to Bush and the torture as well, don't you agree??? In fact Bush was fully aware of the torture, even proud of it.
these people are running your life and government.I can't believe that someone actually said "hey let's do this" and others thought it was a good plan. That cranial rectal disorder sure gets around.
These same people say pot smokers are dumb...... fucking doh, like we'd have ever done something so insensitive.
i think everyone from cali and new york should be on unemployment.
till it runs out then they should go live under a bridge in a card board box. we like to call them obamavilles..in cali or new york of course, please dont spread your disgusting non working liberal disease to the rest of the country..PLEASE..
Is this part of your new standup routine?... disgusting non working liberal disease ...
well i guess it's ok then.
anyone lose their job over it? i mean, how mad is he?
As of Friday 5-8-09 Louis Caldera is no longer employed.
It's nice that nobody went off half cocked and fired the first person they could find to blame like some of the citizenry wanted. It's nice to have let cooler heads prevail and INVESTIGATE first, then blame second.
Your sarcasim over the situation just looks juvenile now.
Obama didn't know about it until after the fact.
Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision," said Louis Caldera, director of the White House Military Office. "While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it's clear that the mission created confusion and disruption."
The officials said the president was angry when he learned Monday afternoon about the flight, which sparked fear in the New York-New Jersey area.
"The president was furious about it," one of the officials said. The incident outraged many New Yorkers, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
"First thing is, I'm annoyed -- furious is a better word -- that I wasn't told," he said, calling the aviation administration's decision to withhold details about the flight "ridiculous" and "poor judgment."
"Why the Defense Department wanted to do a photo op right around the site of the World Trade Center defies the imagination," he said. "Had we known, I would have asked them not to."
