im wantin to grow wit cfl's cuz they don't use as much enrgy and are cheaper so i wanna know how many lights and of what wattage should i get. THANKS HOMIES AND FOGIES AND CHRONIC STOGIES!!!!

Okay. What im using is 2 x 23w Daylight CFLs for each plant that i have. You can probably go higher if you felt like it and maybe keep them higher up. Just keep in mind that you should use daylights for veg. and soft white for flowering :D hope that helps

i have four fluorescent bulbs above two of mine and 9 26watt CFL (each equal to 100 watts) and I need more light. My space is probably 4 by 4 by 2

if you want some help dude lay off the semi-retard talk. a good cheap light to use is a 23 watt cft soft white, they are bright as fuck and the seedlings respond so fast to them. you will want to get 2 of them per plant minimum anything above will work better but for a personal minimum a 23 will do the trick. to save space and costs but a plug to go in your wall put a (Y) socket in for the lights and put 2 23 watt lights in and your golden. hope this helps man

you know if you were to get a 250 hps it would put down twice as much light as those floros but if your hell bent on cfl's then yeah that should work, just remember you have to keep those close as fuck

Thanks for talking English, most people here aren't from your hood and are also probably as old as your parents.bongsmilie

The cfl's will work fine if you keep them close, I mean several inches away from the tops.
But if you decide to veg your plants for more than a month, you may want to get some better lighting, HID's for example.:blsmoke:

You can also LST them, (low stress training)
Check my avatar, It's a Durban Poison in a 300mm pot (12 inches)
and I tied the branches down so all the buds get the same amount of light,
pic was taken at 5 1/2 weeks after 12/12 and I got 3 ounces of good bud in the end.
