If I recall, there was a catalog for redeeming your S&H stamps. I spent many an afternoon sticking those stamps into the book, but I never got to spend them like Cindy...I can't remember what we got with them except for a red plaid thermos....I think I still have that in the garage.
We used to get dishes from the gas station... based on how much you spent on gas. I remember my Grandmother being so happy when she got her gravy dish and completed her collection!

I had one of those crystal radios at one time myself coho. It came in a kit and you had to put it together yourself. Does anyone remember getting the dishes in oatmeal boxes? I still have some of the dishes. I also still have my troll dolls and my little porcelain pickaninny dolls which are politically incorrect today, but I still love them. They're tiny black dolls that are jointed with rubber bands. I think that they cost 25 cents each. I didn't have very many toys so I took care of the ones that I had, not like kids today.

Now it's just papper crap!!! My son and girlfriend are packing for a trip to jamacia this next week!! rasta man!! forgot about 4 tracks!! I still have working tapes and player! and even an adaptor (wheel's that snap in the 4 track to fit in the 8 track player!! ha ha...

That's because it was made out of real steel. Pop and beer cans were made of steel with the interlocking seam down the side.

I was working at a college recently and had to go down to the "basement", bigger than a crawlspace but not enough room to stand up, dirt floor. I found a beer can that didn't even have a pull tab, it had the two triangular openings you find from using an can opener...

The Sears xmas catalog was the equivalent of the Internet back in the day! I remember lusting after the enormous slot-track racecar tracks... then we got an Atari 2600 and everything changed.

Yes, I remember when Pong was the video game everyone wanted, seems like it was before atari. I still have all my old albums. Some of the records are scratched from my kids playing them, but the covers are great. If I ever get a real house again, I'm going to have a music room, and I think I'll paper one wall with the covers. Some of them are autographed by the artists. I don't have a record player anymore either.

Sold all my albums yrs ago, lets just call that move a mistake. I do still have a turntable in the closet, I only pull it out to make a transfer to cd's lol.

I still have my trolls too...and I remember the little pickaninny dolls. How about "RatFink" stuff, used to get the little ones in gumball machines. And Kiddles, little dolls in lockets to wear....I still have several. Sold all my Barbies and Bryer Horses. I still have some hotwheels too, the van with the little surfboards is my favorite.
Tonka trucks (yes I was a tomboy) and green army men! Used to love blowing up those little green army guys with firecrackers.
