hey whats up im new and have a question

hey whats up everyone. my first question is if i do a small closet grow (4x4ft) what are the chances of me being caught. I live in a very small town and everyone seems pretty chill around here. obviously i wont tell anyone, period, except for the roll it up community. I have done a ton of research and know how im gonna grow for the most part but before i go buying everything i just wanted an idea of the risk factor. thanks

shouldn't have much of a chance of being cought. make sure ur ventilated and ppl ( ppl u live nere) cant smell it. dont tell anyone! don't let anyone see it, etc. basic knowledge. and you should be just fine

just be smart about it and u will be fine, when u start using 7 1k bulbs thats when u should start worrying. your power bill will only go up like $30 a month with a 4x4 nothing to worry about

awesome thank you guys. im going to ventilate through a carbon filter under the house so i don't think smell will be a problem. as far as the power bill goes, i have so much electronics the power company is probably surprised im not using more than i already am. lol you guys should see my wire clusters, i have like 3 main wire arteries going through my room, lol.

as soon as i get a chance today im going to clean out that closet and take a pic cause i need help figuring out what to do for an air intake.

oh and just for the h*ll of it i wanted to say that my first grow is going to be black jack, well see how that goes. im going to order through nirvana and get an anonymous P.O. Box to mail em to. or can i just order to my house. ive read on here of a few people shipping to their homes but is that really smart?

okay so these are pics of my closet grow area. it measures 34 1/2" deep, 45 1/2" wide, and roughly 7' tall. i have a crawlspace below and above for intake and exhaust fans. im going to gut the carpet and carpet padding and put a hole in the floor for an intake and a hole in the roof for an exhaust. both will have carbon filters cause i don't want something from the crawlspace below to make my plants sick. im going to line everything with mylar and im going to add some small fans to move around the air so it has a decently even temperature and makes the plants strong. I just want some opinions on what i should do or do different. also im wondering how many plant do you think i could fit in there? im growing for personal only and im a kinda heavy smoker, about 3 ounces a week. so i was thinking about the sea of green method but i just dont know. ive never grown before but im confident that i will be able to grow well cause ive been reading a whole lot. is sea of green harder than just growing normally? if so how much and could i do it with he right amount of studying. im going to grow black jack from nirvana cause its a fast grower and is potent, i don't know if strain is relevant to the growing method i use or not though. thanks for you help and im going to keep cruising the forums for more info

a couple of things to think about:

if you divide the space into bottom 2/3 and top 1/3 you can have a vegging space separate from your flowering space. this lets you harvest crops more frequently and net net get higher yield. look up perpetual harvest on this site.

if you are smoking 3 oz a week your tolerance is too high - if you grow more than one strain it will help lower your tolerance so you smoke less but get just as high.

you really don't need a carbon filter on the inlet unless your house is sitting on a chemical dump.

thank you, very helpful, im gonna grow 2 strains and do the perpetual harvesting technique. anyone else have any suggestions?
