So i built a carbon filter based on fishdeth's cricket basket design.. I didn't cut out the pencil cup bottom, since i didn't have a rotozip. I drilled a fill hole the size of a quarter for the carbon at the top, and just placed the pantyhose stocking over the whole mesh area.
Also had to use a 6" 90 degree air duct to rectangular register as a way to channel the exhaust from my odd shape opening. Bought 1" square wood dowels and created a frame for the duct work. Silicone chalk, wood screws, pilot holes, duct tape used to create airtight connection to the filter device.
Odor is definitely under control. Still has a scent of freshly cut grass, but not the pungent MJ odor. However, the temperature in the cabinet has risen since the flow is being restricted with the filter device. Looking possibly to add a inline 6" duct fan in the future.
