Hello!! U need to understand the plant!study study study this place is good for assistance i and im assuming everyone on here learned from hours and hours of research and trial and error.....someone telling you how much to feed a plant is one thing ...understanding when and why is another .u can just get by or you can produce some of the best weed in the world , whatever you choose have fun and be safe!

BOY I know I sure have.. lol that amoung many other things. Books on top of books. Hands on is best though imo.

Here's a helpful hint. Don't start with one regular seed. A lot of newbies seem to do this it seems

I have to beg to differ on thsi 1.. Sorry this is from reg seed

Very good tip bro.. always run more then 1 if running reg's. At least i try to. now with fem's thats a different story.

start with what most think has the hard way of growing go with regular seeds and sex em to get a mother you can keep.

I would order 5 regular seeds grow them,like you would a fem seed but just before you flick the switch to 12/12 off take a couple of clones of each of the 5,and label them a/b/c/d/e,and just keep the ones that are female for future.pull the males in the main room and by doing this you got a plant that you can mother for has long has you like,regular seeds are far more forgiving then femanised seeds.

In the long run you will be far better of then doing seed run after seed run,because i would not even think about keeping a femanised mother,it will throw seeds in the end they all ways do.

Its far easy for ya to do regular seeds now sites like this are about just keep photos comeing of the nodes once ya flower and we tell ya the males from females.

If you wanted to you could clone the original seeds then flower the clones so you can keep the original mother!! Its the same thing just sounds way cooler to say you got the original imo!

Welcome aboard! And good luck! If just starting out and coming in this site try not to get to confused lol. You will be required to wade through many untruths before finding answers that are helpful and logical. Keep in mind that your setup will differ from others and their suggestions may not be relevant to you. A great place to start is the grow journals! Pick a strain from a reputable company and read up on its wants and needs. If space is at a premium, re one grow area, femmed seeds are a great choice imo. FYI I have never had one herm or produce seeds and grow exclusively femmed due to space. Good luck! This forum is not for the faint of heart lol.

at least 3 regs or a feminised seed or a cutting of a fem. Not one reg which is a half chance of being mael is all I am sayin

If you have access to good clones that may be a great way to start! Should have mentioned that! Clones offer the exact copy of the mom. Seeds have many different Pheno's which sometimes differ in their needs. But thats half the fun of a seed grow lol, its like a box of chocolates!!

I have a tip. Don't listen to anyone who puts Uncle in front of his name unless it's Uncle Buck. All the other Uncles are quacks.....

Here are my tips, just to follow suit:

1.) You'll spend more on growing than originally predicted
2.) Patience is key
3.) Stressing narrows your mind resulting in improper decisions
4.) Don't let posts sway your opinion on things, let trial and error do so (as stated above, very good stuff)
5.) There will come a time when you have your first trolling. Pick your battles
