It's happend to me a few times and never seems to make a difference only that bud will not develop or get u high close to the burnt area dealing with the same problem at the moment my self, my cheese are annoying and won't stop stretching still gaining hight 4 weeks in wtf, so I made a decision to let them slightly burn two of the highest buds I don't wanna raise the light any more as the lower buds will receive less light and I beleive this is the "lesser of two evils".
MH runs higher temps then HPS get a HPS and youl notice definitely I'm surprised no one else mentioned that

Can I have more then 2 words? Maybe 2 paragraphs as I'm not sure if I undersrand
Gaslight Veg also known as 12/1 is a greenhouse flower trick used to increase production of photoperiod plants. It is 12 on 5.5 off 1 on 5.5 off

It causes em to build up flower hormones so wen you flip em they just flower

Fuk off !!! That sounds too good I heard of changing light cycles slightly but not like this has it worked for you? For a while now I been leaving them in the dark for 24 hours or more before I 12/12 and the same before I harvest, does that gaslight cycle work and after you done the 12 on 5.5 off 1 on 5.5 off you to normal 12/12 ??

Yes, probably all the people on this thread that told you to raise the light and turn it back up. The reason people use HID lighting is because of the intensity and the penatration. They don't need to be right on top of the plants like a floor tube or pigtail light set up. this is not ideal, but I've pulled over a gram a watt with lights three feet from the canopy, 1000s, with co2 mind you but ya, 3 feet not three inches. You "burned" yourself on this one by not listening to the advice gifted to you. Yes the spectrum of your bulb will also change to more blue as you drop the power to it. Not good. More power, more light, more distance between the bulb and the bud, good. If your ever worried this may happen again, and this is advice for anyone worried about plants stretching too close to the light, just reach up there and super crop that bitch before its in week two of flower. then tie it up, tape it, do whatever you have to for it and it won't get so tall. simple. grab, pinch, roll, bend, tie. You'll knock off the stretch by a couple inches at least and not have to worry about that burnt mess. And even if you do fim that without raising that light a bunch its probably going to burn or bleach out the buds again. think penatration and power, you have lots now.

I've actually heard the opposite: That HPS Lamps run hotter than the same wattage MH. Anyone have a link to what is the actual truth on this matter? I have a super HPS bulb that came with my system, so I can switch anytime. Matter of fact, since we're 2 weeks into flower, I may just do that today.

Thanks for the sound advice bro. I thought I had solved the problem by training the middle of the canopy away from the Lamp, however I guess I was wrong. Ehh, you grow and you learn. Thanks again for the informative reply :leaf:
