no i haven't grown any high CBD strains at all, only purchased one from a canadian LP (treasure island - not sure the actual strain cause these fags always rename them) and it was OK but all it really provided was very mild clarity and focus, almost like a cup of coffee would. for chronic back pain (nerve + bone) and insomnia it wasn't very effective on it's own although mixing it with a high THC indica seemed to provide some synergy and greater affects than just the sum of the two individually.
i'd prefer to grow a high CBD/no THC strain and mix it myself. but either wayy, if you're growing pure CBD or balanced CBD/THC strain, i'd recommend having all phenos tested to select for highest CBD content. it's hard to gauge CBD content without testing as CBD has almost non noticeable affects on it's own.
they make home testing kits (via thin layer chromatography) which identifies cannibinoids and their concentrations and is reportedly as accurate as the lab testing. that's another subject tho so feel free to pm me if that interests you.
