High humidity when drying

RH in my tent with lights/off would never exceed 55 at the highest point.

Now that I have taken the lights out to hang the drying racks, the RH is above 70. I do not have a dehumidifier, and would rather not go out and buy one right now. The buds are all cut and trimmed.

Is the detrimental? There are no very large buds. They are all trimmed down.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a tiny bit of light coming through the window a/c, but I covered the slot where the air come through with panda film. Barely any light coming in, and what is isnt directly on the buds. Would this be a problem?

I opened the tent up to check the humidity inside and outside while its open. Will know momentarily.

some light is ok. 70%rh will work with decent air movement for starters but youll need to get those buds below 65% eventually.

Got bovedas?

Gotcha. RH is steadily at 70. I have 3 osculating fans as well as a hyper fan in there moving air around.

Might even go get a dehumidifier tonight, could anyone recommend a brand?

Not an actual brand but a tip...if you think you need a 50 pint....buy a 65 pint....my buddy seemed like he needed a certain size and he needed such a wayyyyyy bigger...filled up way to fast before it did any real damage to the Rh

Exactly. Have the dehumidifier set at 65, but for some reason the humidity wont raise any more. Turned the a/c down to low, well see where its at tonight.

You want it to be at 45% or less mine is at that and still taking 4-6 days to dry after being hung for 24 hours and after being cut off the stem

TOO SHORT for a quality end product!
2 weeks is target.....you need breakdown of chloro and sugars......Leave them ON the stems to lengthen..

It sounds like your drying properly. What i do is turn my dehue on in morning before work for 12 minutes. Then at noon my exhaust comes on for 10 minutes and clears the room, then at night the exhaust goes on again for 10 minutes to clear the room. Im more of a believer on letting the bud reduce humidity on its own by dehue and air exchanges at intervals. Running a dehue all the time to maintain a certain % i feel drys the bud out to fast. And of course having fans moving air all the time is a must.

Gotcha, i have mine set to shut off every couple hours, but i may reduce the interavals.

Its hard not being able to monitor it, especially the first couple of days.

I have 2 oscilating fans as well as a hyper fan circling air in the room as well.

Buy the dehumidifier. You want 50% humidity and upper 60's-70 degrees. You've gone this far to let it get moldy when drying to save a few bucks seems senseless to me. You can get cheap ones but if not dried and cured properly it will not reach its potential. Might even taste so bad you choose not to smoke it.

No its not my stem snaps within that time frame then a few weeks of jarring it. If I left it out 2 weeks they would be dried into dust
