Hi: there everyone :peace::weed:
Thank you all for ur awesome replys on my last post very much appreciated
You must get this problem aske a thousand times.
Got another issue lm facing now finally got my digital temp/humidity gauge yesterday and as title goes "high humidity when lights off"
Dont want these girls goin moldy on me!!!!! NEED HELP!!!kiss-ass

Last night when lights were on the humidity was 52% would like it a wee bit lower not sure l can
Today with lights off the humidity is 83% !!!!

U see my last grow was hit BIG with mold so when l planned this grow an extra fan and 2 mini-dehumidifers were ordered have them since last Friday which are running 24/7 since then
have 1 in the shed outside the tent and 1 in the tent wasnt making any impact and then yesterday put the both of the dehumidifiers in the tent check them earlier as l said was 83% so then ran my 7inch and it seems to have gotten higher:wall: to 87% what can I do ??????

One other thing is at the moment its quite damp out and the shed is damp its self.

put that oil radiator that i see on a timer so it comes on during lights off. set it at med/low. the warm will bring humidity down. I use one in my flower space at this time of year. I too get humidity in the 80s during lights off. Once i put the heater in and played with the heat setting to get it not to hot or cold it brought mine down to the 60s. That'll do me!!!

You may need a more industrious dehumidifier, especially if your shed is damp already, otherwise you'll have to look for other ways to remove moisture from the air, condensation from an AC works well to. i can really just think of those two things i've never had to fight humidity its around %10 where i live

i have somewhat the same thing when its high humidity out. you can increase the cfm of your blower. i have not had any mould problems, and i often go up to 71%. ususally, i run from 45%-56%. no biggie. i just make sure i have my reciprocating fan on the plants, the movement will retard mould. also, when plants are really takin up water/nutes, they are obvciously putting this moisture into the air.

this is untrue, the person who wrote that is mis informed. When your temps are higher the air can hold more moisture so your Relative Humidity would be higher, thus increasing your chances of mold.

What you need to do is move more air in and out of your shed, and have lots of airflow inside aswell.

Increased airflow will work, but you can't knock down someone elses PROVEN method. He did it, it worked, so how can you come here and say that it doesn't when you haven't tried it? Talking out of your ass is not cool.

There's 3 things I make sure of at lights off.
1) oscillating fan is on all night to move the air
2) electric heater- this prevents the temp lowering and RH Rising
3) have the extraction fan on 24/7 to pull out stale air

4) doesnt apply to all but I also have a DRY function on my AC and this pulls moisture but is off on cold nights.

you are just wasting money and electricty on those mini dehumidifiers and you say you had a mold issue last harvest, you need a good dehumidifier. i am a complete diy'er, i build everything i can for my grow from hydro systems to subpanels and switch boxes, even installed my minisplit ac, but when dealing with rh my thoughts never went to anything other than a good, oversized dehumidifer.

Its a prooven fact and its called science. BTW I learned with trial and error, if you increase temps with alot of moisture, mold forms faster then at lower temperature. You will have a greater risk of certain plant diseases such as mildew and botrytis as well as bacterial infection when your RH is to high because moisture forms on the leaf surfaces. If you dont understand what RH is do your research.

As long as your grow space isn't too big, you could also just try some Damp-Rid.

Use a couple Damp-Rid cups on the floor in the corners of the room (the calcium chloride crystals pull moisture from the air, drip into the bottom of the container). They also make these Damp-Rid bags that are intended to be hung in closets, which also have activated carbon for odor control.

Im fucked :wall:
I cant go cutten holes in the shed to suck in fresh air dont have the money to buy a big dehumidifier
Will have a long think about my options here
I just came back after checken my temp and RH 76`F and 73%RH so my temp is up 8`F and humidity down to 73%

Who ever said growen weed is easy :leaf:

Thats not the first time i've heard someone disprove science as "talking out of your ass"
