High ph.. (didnt know) and spots.some dark some lighter.not on new leaves tho so

Im thinkn a diff of some sort even tho im using fox farms..but also could be lockout cuz my ph was so damn high and I didnt even know it..I got drinkn water which is phd.and now plants were perkn up.but these damn spots..I kno I kno u heard it a million times..but imagine if u didnt and u woke up to this...I knew my high ph would bite me n my ass but I flushed well flushing..lol. with sledge hammer..it say 2 drop a gal? But I put a lil in a 3l with phd water and shook it up.then put in my resi..waitn on meter so I can check tds and ec...please help asap..ty...im using a dwc/aero combo..in hydroton..foxfarm nutes..600w mh light.in my open closet..no bugs..I done checked..I took a couple leaves off.:( they had too many ugly spots..plus sum dummy said if its black spot itl spread so I got scared and cut em..I was about to spray 3n1 but I wanna hear from some pros before I do..I posted pix on my thread..ppl lookd a bunch of times but not one person helped..I joined this forum so yall can make me a better grower..I kno alot but deff not everything..I need rep to post pix and my journal..ty and god bless..

I just wanna grow so nice dro nugs..cant find any good stuff around so its either quit or grow.. my mouth waters when I see ppl growing beautiful buds..I always wished I could..now im tryna learn...so plz help me grow too..;)

ok

first off are u city water or well water .............this matters

this is my best advice to help u ............someone u know and trust and likes to smoke tell them u need a 200 dollar investment inreturn they will get weed from u at a cheap set price for aslong as u grow

order yourself this FULL FEED ONE BUY ............they have a plan on the side to fallow u want the drain to waste one

as for PH there is no getting around this with hydro it just effects to many things u need a tester

that is a good tester i have it ...........u need to buy PH up and down (get the quart size) and calibation solution 4.01 and 7.0

yes u need them with the stuff in the water for the plants it will mess with the paper and the droplets a true reading will be hard to get

your plants are fine they are just hungry and telling u

with hydro there is 2 parts ........the feed Micro Grow Bloom ........the rest are called stackers rooting branching flavor size yeild (anything that is not micro grow or bloom falls under this section)

your plant needs some Micro and Grow at the stage they are .........the link i posted has a plan it is made up for how many gallons the system uses (the only part of the plan u do not fallow with autos is the Liquid KoolBloom ............this is not ment for a auto plant do not use it )

PH u are going to be testing atleast 2 times a day ...........when it gets into late flowering 5 to 6 times .............when u go to look at the plants and the lvl of the water (u set a lvl of water and every day the water should be there if u add water to get it there then u add water) this is when u test the PH .............i use a shot glass get some of the water and place the tester in it untill it reads the lvl and the temp

u will need these too
1 ml pippettes
3 ml pippettes
yes 500 of each ..............they are used to mix the feed up and to ph your water once used u toss them (unless u keep it asigned to one bottle then toss once a week)

Uh oh..lol na I been putting the measure a needle with a hose on the end in the nutrient bottles. I guess I'm not supposed to. using Foxfarm lineup?can do I put the nutrients in with water in it three later and mix them up then do the TDS/Ec test and test pH?on each bottle after i put in the nutrients? Or the resi?sorry as you can tell this is my first time I'm new to this I bet you're a pro I'm just trying to get these the girls were there supposed to I don't even mess with those ones outside and their bad ass at 2 month almost. I feed them..I thought I over fed them?

locking out is hungry ..........it means the water was not at the right PH so the roots could not aborsb the amount of food they wanted

your PH for hydro should be in the range of 5.8 5.9 .......this is the golden zone for perfect aborbtion safe is 5.5 to 6.5 .............ph of 12 is god awlful

order yourself the PH tester ........and PH up and PH down .........the calibation solution is important so u can gt a correct lvl

to feed your plants ............empty out the water in the system
if u are city water (not from a well) u need to fallow this ................. clean out your bath tub nice and good ..........fill your bathtub with hot water and leave it alone untill the water cools off...........from there take the water in the tub and jug it up in water bottles (milk jugs will not work they will turn the water foul u can not clean them i tryed it does not work) ..............city water has chemicals in the water to clean the pipes and help your teeth this is bad for the plants (so by u filling the tub with hot water and allowing to cool off u have let the chemicals leach out of the water from the heat and open surface area)

now fill your tub count how many gallons it takes ............right before u put the last one in u will mix the feed up
so your system uses 3 gallons total u will fallow the plan on the side and mix up what it tells u by 3 ..........(when u mix feed u need water do not mix the feed then add water .........have the water in the jug then add the feed)

Isn't drain to waste for something like an ebb and flow. Aerocloner and dwc would be recirculating

no drain to waste is like a dwc ......the water is used once .......a Rdwc they account for more water in the system so they have adjusted the str pretty high .........u can cfallow that one and turn the plant in a monster like i did


that is for city water with the chemicals they add to it ............ u really do not pay attention to things do u .............the pipe systems in most of the city are passed the replace they have roots and other things growing into them messing with it ......replacing all the pipes that need to have it done too is not possible with the effort time cost and the sheer upset it cost so for a stop gab measure they have been adding in a few chemicals to the water plant to help control the problem the chemicals are not harmful to us but to roots and plants they are

as for getting it out of the water it is simple ...........it wants to leach out the tub method vs boiling is 2 different things
1 boiling u are heating the water and the chemical up to vapor point the amount of surface volume is low (how pots are made) u can boil for 15 mins and remoe most of the bad stuff but u lost volume on the water there bu increase the salts and other things in the water higher ppm
2 the tub u are not heating the water to vapor just exciting the water to allow it to move around and with the large surface area it allows the chemicals to leach into the air the warm cools and the vloume moves in the tub..........time heat suface area

this does not remove eveything and make it 100% spring water but it does remove the chemicals that does the most damage to the roots of the plants

Thats what I thought he meant. To me DWC and RDWC would both be considered recirculating. In DWC the air flow is recirculating the water around the roots. Technically you drain the RDWC to waste too, so just cause you have an extra resevoir one is considered recirculating and one drain to waste? I just dont see how you would classify them differently. They're either both recirculating or both drain to waste systems, but not opposites.

The big problems with recirculating systems are changes in nutrient levels and ph of water over time. Both of these are problems with DWC and RDWC. Drain to waste doesn't have these issues.

I know they add chemicals to the water. You mentioned a chemical that they are adding to clean the pipes, which I found no mention of in any articles. Not saying it doesn't exist, but what is it called? Will be easier to look up

What specific chemicals are removed using the bathtub method that are bad for your plants?

every city is different they use what is at hand ..........it was some time in 2008 washington DC water supply was tested and they found trace amounts of pharmaceuticals grade drugs

i been looking for a list of the chemicals by the city and all that but i am not finding anything offical .........blogs and ppl doing their own reports

but there is the list of known chemicals they use to kill roots that enter the water system(if they did not add the stuff the roots would grow in and clog the system even faster )
