Hello,

Genetics are important for so many reasons. I am looking for seeds from strains that produce high percentages of terpenes. like somewhere above 4% overall terpene content. If you know a breeder trying to isolate the different terpenes at high levels, I would be interested in seeing what that breeder has for sale. If you know of any posts, strains, or seedbanks that relate to this, please send them my way.

I love the information that some of you have stowed away in your favorites bar, so don't be shy, share some more!

A friend of mine has a cut of Oni's Tropicanna Cookies (given to him by Harry Palms when he was still with Oni) that has insane terp test numbers. The orange flavors that comes out taste like concentrated O.J. Not sure if it is the 'MTN cut' or not. I am usually not a fan of cookies but I could smoke that all day every day.

Nothing In particular. I was thinking perhaps there was a breeder trying to isolate each terpene in different plants. This would be nice for people to learn different terpenes.

I would like to get a box/kit of weeds high in only one terpene so I could learn the terps I like.

If you know of a product like this please let me know.

But please indulge us with the details of what you know in this area.

HAHAHAHAHA wow he should really share that, Sounds like a game-changer. But I get we gotta make that $! Well if he decides to work with that genetic and make seeds DEFINITELY give me a shout out. Please tell him to work with it, It would be a shame to let the genetics wither due to genetic degradation.

What else is in his collection?

If you know anything about breeding for terpenes or improving terpenes in a grow please share.

Oni Seed Co seeds is the breeder of our Tropicanna Cookies F2 strain. The genetics include Tropicanna Cookies F1 (Harry Palms, Bloom Seed Co).

It is definitely one of his most prized cuts so I wouldn't get my hopes up :). He isn't much of a breeder himself so I don't think he will cross it either.

That is the one. His cut came directly to him from Harry Palms who is the breeder of that strain, so I don't think he had to hunt at all. However Oni has continued to do work with it I believe and has a few other crazy crosses that I plan on trying at some point. If you search RIU there are a bunch of grow journals and an entire Oni thread I think.

Was more just sharing the fact that Oni/Harry Palms might be a good place to start your hunt as they seem to be doing the work. Or considering those orange terps are coming from Tangie, you could grab a pack of that from DNA or Crockett Farms and do your own hunt and crosses. That exact plan is on my todo list, once I have space for breeding.

I am blessed regarding genetics tho, I have another old head friend who has a huge seed vault and sends me lots of fun stuff to grow so I can't bring myself to pay for seeds from banks. Just took some cuts from a AK47/Mexican x Solomon Grundy (bruce banner x mac) bean that I popped, about to put those into the flower room next. I also have 3 Sour Bubble x GDP F3's that are in solo cups at the moment.

No clue, genetics is a funny thing you just never know, two shitty strains crossed can produce a phenomenal plant.

Here's the terpenes profile.

The high is about as balanced as I've ever had.

Blueberry Muffin from Humboldt Seed Co is supposed to test high. Zkittlez clone is very high in terpenes too. A few years ago GG4 won the Golden Tarp award, and tested out at 5% terps, but I don’t think that’s typical
