I was thinking of purchasing a 800 watt high pressure sodium/metal halide light in one fixture and run them at the same time. I hear the more colors of the light spectrum is great for the plant. The price is 500 dollars, but I'm willing if its the finest way to do it.

Ive heard this is the best way to do it, is it? if not what is the best light source to use?

Yea, I have checked this out. If you combine MH and HPS you want a 2 to one ratio like 400w MH and two 400w HPS.

I tried it with two 250w HPS and one 400W MH but the MH was rated at 3100k and it worked well for a 4x4 grow area.

You think it matters if I start the plants in plastic cups, then after a month or so put them in a 10 inch pot, then a 5 gallon bucket for flowering? I figure it will always have more room to grow and lots of it. Is this right? The strain is white widow.

I'm also wondering what a good GUESSTIMATE yield would be for one female white widow in a 5 gallon bucket. oZ or 2?

Checked out your link,

They used to sell a dual reflector called growzilla. I think it was them. They were awesome.
