Himalayan Gold Strain help required

Hi all!

I have just planted 5 Feminised Himalayan Gold for indoor growing.
Now, i've heard that these babies can grow upto two meters tall and because i am growing in a wardrobe i need them to grow to 80cm tall and not much bigger.
Does anyone have any advice on what height i should flower these babies to get them to reach 80cm?
I was told to flower them after 1 - 2 weeks but is that too early?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

no i won't be cloning this time. I was told that i should flower them after 2 - 3 weeks of vegging to keep them below 1m high,they are 3 weeks old now and about 3 inches in height so should i flower?
Can anyone please help?

This thread is from a long time ago... but does anyone know the answer? Thinking about trying to grow Himalayan Gold but don't want them to grow tall. Using CFLS, can without getting too tall? Not looking for a huge yield so would definitely start flowering relatively early.

From what I've read plants grow 2-3 times larger once they go into flower. Vegging and the plants height is up to you. Some people only veg for a month some veg till their plant is 19-24''. Just keep in mind the growth rate when they go into flower

You can always just LST or FIM it, then you wont have to worry as much about height and you can control it and get a higher yield :)

if you want to control height use an additive from Humboldt county's own called Bush Master. stops the vertical growth to almost a few inches from first use. be careful though if you use too much you hurt the plant and stunt growth. I used it on my last grow with some Him Gold and others. recommend 1-1.5ml/Gal. and only use once for the best results. works great for SOG and cfl growing because the plant stays nice and compact and you get a fat dense main cola and it can regulate canopy height to slow down fast growing strains when growing different varieties together.

No that is not too early, as a matter of fact you can flower them from seed.
A seedling which is put on 12/12 straight away will only make one big bud of 50-70 cm without lateral branches.

I purpously signed up to give some advice, anyone growing himalayan Gold it grows tall very tall , im 5ft and twice growing (diff times ) and both times they came out taller than me and we nipped the second lot twice i think cuz it kept growing so personally if u want small plants dont buy these seeds

I grew HG several seasons. Indoor. If you give them 2 weeks vegging under 600W, then you can expect to get 120cm tall plant. If you let vher veg longer, then you will have a 140cm plants. But again, just do some bending and tie her branches.

I grew HG many times. The best for keeping them short is SCROG... Simple :;)

He will still get lateral branches because HG has branchy genetics. I did HG many times so I know.
