Left town for 3 days and just got back. Had a look at my babies all was OK. I will turn the 2 MH lights off permanently by tomorrow when I find out which of my plants are boys. So far I have identified 7 females from my Kushes!!! out of the 10 regular seeds I planted so 3 are probably boys but they are way in the back so I need to move some pots to get to them which is what Im gonna do tomorrow.

So more pics and vids tomorrow.

Max temp while I was away was 27.5C and 21C minimum when the lights were off. I believe the absolute minimum is something like 19 and the maximum is 30 right?

i get mine down to 17 at night and ya 30 for light on. they can go over but not for long. the bigger the change in temps will help it to turn purple also. wont effect quality but a little colour for me always adds a bonus.. if it dont stress em.

Day 5 of flowering now. Temps 19 min and 29 max humidity at 38% All lights go on during the day. No ferts yet. I just watered em today next watering will be with a little fert and I start to increase my fert every other watering until I reach 1/4 strength.

Unfortunatelymy camera wont focus in on the pistils or sacs, I have 4 confirmed Kush males and 4 females, the other 2 I'm not sure till now I will wait a week or so and recheck them.

Here are the pics and videos.

you want to start at 1/4 strength, not work up to 1/4 strenght. i only nute every 2 weeks or so. it realy depends on how often you water. the more often you do then it uses up nutes fater and you can feed more often.i usualy dont realy nute unless they look unhealthy. but everybody does it different

Thanks for the info bonz. This is what I did during my last grow and it turned out beautifully, still, I appreciate the info and you sticking here with me. I read that you should NEVER give plants more that 1/4 strength of nute, start light and take it up gradually to a maximum of 1/4 strength of what it says on the box. Having said that I did go up to 1/2 strength during the last 3 weeks of flowering and the plants were ok with it so I kept it at that until the last 2 weeks before harvesting when I gave them only pure water to flush the nutes out of the plants. BTW My soil is just regular soil nothing mixed in with a ratio of 10-10-10 I dont start nutes until the 4th week.

These are what I use (click on More Inof on the top of these pages for the N-P-K):
Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food

Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Bloom Booster® Flower Food

Anyway like I said before in some post we were in bonz I just got his liquid nute, its French I may try it out. Ill keep you posted on what that does.

I nute every 3 to 4 watering at that strength, if the plants dont like it I stop for 3 or 4 waterings then start to reintroduce it but even less than 1/4 strength, if they still don't like it then I wont force the issue. The plant is usually good at letting its grower know what he's doing wrong.

Man! It looks like I have 7 males!!!! This sucks. 4 for sure the other 3 I'm not so sure at this time. I'll check again tomorrow and see.

that sucks. good luck with the rest. thats why i like to clone once i find a nice strain

I'm on day 8 of flowering now. Of the 10 Hindu Kush plants I had 5 males. I killed 4 of them off and kept 1 for the pollen. Now the male is in the same room as the females. How long will it be till it shoots its load? What indications do the pollen sacs have that tell me they are about to blow? I don't need to wait till the last second to pop 'em and collect the pollen, I only want to pollinate 1 small bud in 1 female. I was thinking of milking a sac tomorrow to see if there is any viable pollen in there. Its day 8 I'm kinda getting paranoid that it will burst at any moment.

And before someone says get it out of the room, I cant do that I only have 1 grow room. Your thoughts?

Watered today with 1/2 strength nutes, I know I should start at 1/4 strength but it was a miscalculation on my part, I don think it will do much harm let's see.

All lights are on 2MH and 2HPS light penetration is much, much better now with 4 plants out of the room.

Some of the pics taken today were before I cleared out the 4 males and some after which gave me a lot more space. The first 6 pics are before the removal of the 4 males. Better pics next time.

Today's video

if you cant move it there`s not much i can think off. it will pollenate the rest. i believe the pods turn yellowish and start to expand to open. bubut this can happen in a matter of hours. i dont bother with males for that reason, no room. i will build a room soon because i want to start playing with some different strains.

WOW! In a matter of hours from when they turn yellow you mean? OK. They are all still green. I will move it to my bedroom tomorrow Ill be out of town for a few days. You know what I'll try to milk a pod tomorrow and see if there is any viable pollen in there and get this worrying over with.

Now, all I have to do it pollinate a pair of pistils on the bottom of a plant and that will be enough right?

have you ever done this? they need to be ready to pop on thier own or the pollen wont work. put it in your bedroom (no fans ) put a cfl or something on it till it`s ready. there is a way to keep it i will go through my library and try to find some helpfull info before you do this unless your confident. that stuff can carry along way

First off bonz thanks for sticking with me here. I really appreciate it!

I have never done this before, no. My first grow were all feminized seeds so I did have to worry about it.

OK, I'll wait for your info in the meantime I will take it out of the grow room and put in near my balcony window for light during the day until we can figure out how to do this.

Once again, thank you.
