i'm southern new england about 40 miles inland. it's funny about the predictions. national weather sources usually predict less severe weather and local weathermen usually predict doom. i suspect it has something to do with ratings. however, exaggerations aside, i have much more confidence in local weather people in general. they have a better track record imo. i'm going to the beach tomorrow in southern new hampshire and the water temperature is predicted to be 80 degrees tomorrow. for those of you not familiar with the northeast, that is WAY warmer than usual. jaw dropping. this is my only concern since there is supposedly some low pressure front from the west that has a very slim chance of clipping the storm in such a way to draw it further inland, and warm weather feeds hurricanes. i have maybe a 10% chance at best of getting anything serious. definately nothing to panic over.
