histori kali mist

Many people have speculated about the genetics of Kali mist, often ensuring that contains the original Haze genetics (wrong), because Simon is not that precisely revealed their pedigree. But even if I wanted I could not, as Simon has been the ancestors of the Kali Mist from different breeders who mostly do not know exactly where it originated. Anyway there are some details checked. Noted author Mel Frank declared in 1996 that? The Kali Mist seems to have much of Southeast-Asian character? and that? cultivated ancestors of Kali Mist in the first 80 in Oakland, CA.? Well, we do not know if there was a direct random connection between the material then used Mel Frank and the material used to raise the Kali Simon, but at least we know Mel Frank was right, Kali Mist certainly has a great influence in Southeast Asia, namely Cambodia genes that constitute a major influence on the KM
And Simon says that before he started with the genetics of KM, different Yankee farmers had cultivated their ancestors, but not used for breeding. The other ancestor that we know definitely that it has is an Indica Afghanistan, and Simon said that culture parameters include two predominantly sativa hybrid. Also assume that there are also Thai and Colombian genetic ancestors of the KM.
So at least we're sure the fact that the original genes are inherited KM Cambodian and Afghan and material ancestral crosses had been grown previously in the U.S.. Interestingly, Simon traveled to Cambodia in the past, looking for good quality native semis to refresh and and develop their KM, but was unsuccessful, could not find anything comparable to the varieties of predominantly Cambodian already had.
KM's past has a history of breeding varied, their genetic makeup has changed several times due to certain circumstances. The initial version of Kali which traded until 1997 was much like, as mentioned earlier, a Southeast Asian sativa. But while the buzz was over, Simon sought to improve their average and decided to increase the Afghan Indica. Accordingly, KM had a new male parental genes in indica. The result was KM plants with higher production and shorter plants.
This resulted in higher KM plants production, but also decreased the ratio of calyx-leaves and interfered with the sensational buzz sativa. So many lovers of KM were unsatisfied with this revised version, saying that for them the quality is more important than production.
This is just one reason why Simon returned in 1998 to seek the predominance sativa. The other reason was that he was simply forced to rebuild the array again, the fact that almost the same time the police seized two breeding sites Serious Seeds and all KM male specimens were confiscated. So this father who used to produce semis of KM was lost, but luckily Simon was still closely linked genetic plants available, who survived elsewhere.
After this seizure, there were no semis of KM for a year and Simon worked hard on a new genetic profile. Took the opportunity to revitalize its original character almost pure sativa using a third father sativa dominance, to create the new KM for the next millennium. And the decision to rescue a KM Simon was soon rewarded sativa winning the sativa category of the HTCC 2000. Today, KM has a percentage of 80-90% sativa
However, since its second revision, KM flowering takes longer even than the first, takes between 70 and 90 days to maturity, although this is not much compared for example with a pure haze. But the unique sativa buzz early days has been rescued successfully

Interesting history. I have been told that the AK-47 was used in the new Kali Mist. Do you know if this is true?
