HLG and Bridgelux strips wiring question

Download the data sheet, it's in there. I'm not sure about the slims but 18g works on the other EBs.

Can use 20awg board to board, but would use a thicker gauge from the driver to the board breakout point.
20awg rated for ~6amps max.

Are you certain about that, I'm looking at specs that say 20awg can handle 11 amps (75%)? Just trying to figure out my new light build.

The slims are smaller than standard eb strips, i had no luck with 1mm, .75mm stranded was no luck as strands were to flimsy, ended up regauging 1mm to .75 for about 150 connectors.

Just depends on how much wattage you want to burn in your wires. The thicker they are the less wattage they'll burn. The shorter they are the less wattage they'll burn. Also, the more wattage they burn (per ft; per m) the hotter they get (and more driver voltage they eat too), and too much heat melts solder and insulation ect. So ideally want to keep the waste wattage burned across the transmission wires low.
20awg is 0.01Ω/ft.
