This is a real world garden.The watt by watt thing was involved as i remember but there was a lot of talk about the spectrum too. At the same par levels hgl would most likely win as it puts out more red and blue compared to all the green that hlg puts out. But watt by watt may be different.
I think if we are trying to decide which light is truly superior out of the box, everything needs to be identical. Height, watt etc.
Whichever is superior the plants will show it by how they feed and react to the light.
@hybridway2 can correct me if I am wrong but the penetrator is not dimable and the manufacturer actually recommended he could hang the lights as close as 12in. So how can he get the needed spread and keep the manufacturers recommended distance? Havent seen the trinity yet but guessing it is not modular. Luckilly the PAR meter dropped out of the sky and the starting point can be set for a real world garden. If hybrid sees the plants either being burnt or exhibiting light starvation I expect him to adjust.
