Yes you can flower with those lights..

Are you worried about heat? Because for less than what you paid for those lights you could have gotten a 600 watt HPS setup with sealed hood, dimmable ballast, MH and HPS bulbs.

Yes my dude I love the feedback! I still am pleased with my purchase due to two simple facts... * Power draw & Fire risk. *
Drawing 65W from the wall vs. 600W well that speaks for itself. As for the cooling and heating, my grow room could stand to raise a couple more degrees + it's a self cooling in the sense it doesn't reach that high of a temp. More importantly the risk of fire is greatly depreciated! Drastically. I work in fire protection trust me when I say LED is much much safer. Please don't mistake me when I'm saying this, just because you haven't had a fire means you will or vise versa I'm just saying " statically ".

Thanks so much for your input and I appreciate it greatly :peace:

Yes the HID draws more power but it's so much more light. You can pull a pound with a 600 in a 4 x 4 tent.

Regardless, good luck with your grow. bongsmilie

Thanks again my Dude :bigjoint:

Yes & remember * Fire Risk *
There is a fire risk with any light when its not plugged in properly, it causes arcing between two point and heat builds up until it starts to smoke and if its close enough to anything flammable it can start a fire.

Realistically most grow room fires are caused by plugs not properly plugged in or male female connectors not properly plugged in.

All that said if you want to flower in your tent with two of those HLG65s just stick to the recommended footprint. Or maybe a tiny bit more. 2x2 - 2x2.5 ft

Yea for sure I completely agree. I wasn't going to try and cover more space than 2X2 but I had figured if I use 2 of these lights plus my 4 Blurps I should have no problem with a 4X4. I only am growing 3 plants in 18" pots so that won't push past 4ft. My only concern is that my room is 8X8 and the reflective paneling isn't close enough. But again I think it shouldn't matter to much because my lights will cover the plants no problem. 6 lights VS. 3 plants.

You can always hang a curtain of black and white or other reflective material half way down past the light line to reflect light back in.

Anyhow keep us all posted on the progress of your grow. Be good to hear your opinion on performance!!

Used a HLG65w (3000k) for one of the party cup competitions early on in the year in the LED section. Footprint is small, but you can get some fantastic bud from it. Pics from that run..
