Hole next to stalk what do I do???

Well I went to home depot today and the guy there referred these gopher traps their basically like mouse traps but with spikes on them I had to find the gopher hole and put them inside the hole then burry it so when the gopher trys to go threw his hole to get to my roots he'll hit it... But by the time I got to my plants the gopher had Already aten almost all the roots on my best plant (poison og ) so hopefully the traps work. And do u guys think my plant will grow new roots if it still has about a quarter of them left?

yes the traps will work! I used em' and got my gopher, but it took a few times of setting it. The first one I put in, he got huyng on it a little and drug it into the hole and got off it, so he stole my trap!!. I set another , and got him. So I would tie a string on the trap so it doesn't go down the hole like mine did. Be ready for a fight when you pull him out cause the traps catch em' but doesn't always kill em', mine was PISSED OFF when I pulled him out of the hole and he jumped into a karate stance on my Yorkie mixed Terrier. I had to wack him with a shovel!
Your roots will recover if it's not too far gone, Mine had loosened up 1 of my plants, but after I git him, about a week later it tightened back up in the hole and has been fine.

Ok cool I have two of them set right now I was gonna tie a rope to them but I didn't realize that I could until I already got to my spot... So how long do u think I should wait to check if the traps are still there? I had gophers in my backyard and my cat killed em everyday for about a week straight there was one dead gopher laying on the ground too they were all gone

it depends, but usually it doesn't take too long. I always had action on mine within a couple hours.

WoW,, how big was it and how did it sound when it hit him??? LoL, idk if its b/c im HiGh but alot of these replys are cracking me up!!! bongsmilie :peace:

I went to check on the traps today and one didn't go off and the other one got him the spikes went threw his stomach n he was dead when I got there n I set it again hopefully he's the only one. And now atleast I know for next year to be prepared for them.

Right on bro! I tiold ya they worked. Your lucky yours was dead when you got there. Like I said, mine was alive and pissed off. SOGT-your not high man, that shit was funny as hell when I pulled that mad fucker outta his hole. They got BIG teeth!
