its cool, i wasnt offending ya. i just dont like gesumpt up cars. my opinion only
I have put a lot of time into learning about motorsport any creating a road legal tool, I have been expecting others to appriciate this kind of engineering and development which I did not realise is a self absorbed stance to take.

I appriciate that, I really do, however you cant go around claiming that your engineering skills, however good they are can out do that of the likes of mercedes benz amg division.

Thats a very bold statement to make which requires evidence, years of testing, track testing all over the world, different climates etc

Provide me with that untill then I will stand with my claim that benz amg division engineer cars to a better level than you can.

The point of the matter here is if your parents said to you, unlikely as it may sound, any car son, no budget whats it gonna be?

you - dad i want a saxo with 7k to spend on mods

me and majority of people - supercar (as the one in question or ferrari's lambos, etc etc)

Thats all im saying dude i aint arguing
because the saxo will always weigh half, for the power to weight IF your end goal is speed and you have the money saxo/106 etc wins every time.
what is better engineered an SL55 or a group B rally car?
Ok lets see if I can help you answer this on your own two feet.

How big is the bank balance the builders have to engineer this group b rally car?

Now, how big is the balance mercedes benz have available to spend?

I am not talking about alacantra dash boards, or aero wing mirrors the work put into tweaks and touches takes years and yes in that sense you are correct, no disrespect to AMG I think we are talking about two different things, this is taking a car, stripping to a blank canvas and creating a totally different application of power and optimising take up and delvery of power, the geometory of the chassis will also come into play in this case,

I am in agreement with you.

group B was a manufacturer championship..

group B only lasted years not decades if it was still here today 100's of 1000's would be being plowed into it..

What you have described is exactly what amg division do! Do you think they just slap a big engine in there and call it a day?

Those things u described above amg do much better than some little outfit that tune group b rally cars.
