Just jumping on board, yo. You seem like a pretty decent chap, so I am following along. Some notes:
I was doing min-no defoliation this time. Big mistake. I do not reveg and clone, so there doesnt seem to be any point for me to leave lower larf vegitation. I will continue to be heavy handed on my removal in the future. a couple of my plants got a ton of larf on them, but I do not worry, i will just turn it into hash.
So far it seems both the DBxOMG and MBxIraqi both take well to being topped. haveing to top more than I wanted of them to keep room in the tent they are quickly outgrowing, but its good to see they dont hate it as much as J1HP or HAOGxSSDD seemed to.
Mega Crop is compelling, I spent some time reading over the label, it is really close to the program I came up with on my own, except they have twice the Ca and Mg of my formula. I will probably switch to it if they are still around in three or four years when I run out of my current base.I'm very hard headed when it comes to trying new products. I know what I do now works for sure without fail. The only reason I tried it is because it is priced cheap in comparison and a lot of growers I trust had good things to say. Plus the mix has a lot of stuff I add separately. So its actually easier to feed to. It's cheaper and very easy to use. Those two things in any decent sized grow are awesome.
Hey thanks my wife says i'm not too terrible of a fellow. so I guess that counts for something, hah. Yeah Mega crop has been good so far. Really quick and easy, and plants are all perky and green. I probably dropped nectar a few weeks ago now and have noticed no change in growth, vigor, or any deficiencies.Mega Crop is compelling, I spent some time reading over the label, it is really close to the program I came up with on my own, except they have twice the Ca and Mg of my formula. Please do@Nu-Be well damn, I guess I've been neglecting this thread, thanks for reminding me. I will re update this as I finish my testers off and the rest of what I got growing!
I'd like to do that eventually. Still have half a pack left, probably 7 beans actually. I think i'm gonna be exploring more of his supernatural line. I see a lot of similarities in my omg blood testers and SOAR, since they both share the OMG. but its interesting to see the differences too. I will try and get tester pics tonight, they have some really funky leaves. Can't wait to hear more about Soar. I believe I heard Bodhi say their is major value in F2'ing the Supernatural Selections to really open the gene pool and see what's out there.
the new episode of the potcast with DVG who was an ex head breeder for ken and GDP said Bay 11 was stolen. it was really a Bodhi appalachian renamed bay 11 after another of kens growers. this explains the purple, because he goes on to say the seeds, because the strain entered into thew cup was pure appalachia, were the cup winner crossed with GDP seeds they had laying around. they never disclosed this but it got out anyway. so anyone breeding with bay 11 is actually breeding with apalachia x a bag seed gdpView attachment 4207434 a real purple nug hid itself in here. Bay 11.
Huh, Definetly going to give this episode a listen, thanks for the heads up! I've personally grown out 2 Appalachia strains (Bingo P and ASS) and I've grown out a couple different pheno's of Bay 11 (2 seeds I was gifted, made very purple bud). I found 2 single seeds from 6 flowered out clones, and grew those out too. It was very obvious bagseed, the plants grew much slower and uglier than the first time I vegged it out. WAY slower, WAY more asymmetrical, ugly plants. Killed the worse of the two, flowered the one. I didnt top them this time, it was mostly green this time, little bits of purple, that same new shoe/tennis ball/earthy dankness smell.the new episode of the potcast with DVG who was an ex head breeder for ken and GDP said Bay 11 was stolen. it was really a Bodhi appalachian renamed bay 11 after another of kens growers. this explains the purple, because he goes on to say the seeds, because the strain entered into thew cup was pure appalachia, were the cup winner crossed with GDP seeds they had laying around. they never disclosed this but it got out anyway. so anyone breeding with bay 11 is actually breeding with apalachia x a bag seed gdp
if you want to listen for yourself it is 1 hour and 34 min into the last pisode of the potcast with guest DVG(dungeouns vault)
Hey I'll try to do a full blown grow/smoke report of Soar this weekend. I have family in town so I may not get to it, but know that I WILL get one out soon, I know a few people were wondering. Can't wait to hear more about Soar. I believe I heard Bodhi say there is major value in F2'ing the Supernatural Selections to really open the gene pool and see what's out there.
