hermies ARE annoying, but just like slow and stretchy sativas, i think of them as mere a challenge to acquire "the best" smoke. i like it when people call weed "god's greatest gift". it gives the grower happiness and "love" in it's own way, so it's only fitting that a grower give some love back for all the good stuff that doesn't happen with cash crapper strains.

i kinda had my heart set on TGA's third dimension until reading reports about that being hermie prone. my issue with hermies isn't that they ruin sinsemillia, but that they would pollute whatever breeding program i'm on at any given point like my highland thai competing with the C99 i was using in my 1st grow.

just like with plant stretch, i wouldn't be surprised if you lose some quality when trying to breed out hermaphroditism. i grew 2 thai hybrids that had none of that crazy delicious tutti fruity flavor of highland or the trippiness as each might as well have been generic haze. they could have been based on koh chang or meao though.

i won't try highland thai again until i'm ready to put up with it's fussy nature, but it's totally worth it i imagine if it lives up to the trippiness reports that have been shared with me, and i wouldn't want to water that delicious flavor down any either. hermies, in some "strains" (really... quibbling with semantics?) is just part of the compromise one has to put up with for specific qualities.
