Home Depot Nutrients?

What good nutrients could I buy from home depot, my 2 plants are clones 2-3 weeks, just potted them with soil mixture with perlite, they are 2-3 weeks old.

i always give the same info for outside grows...get yourself some blood/bone meal and some worm castings if you want mix this into soil at about 70/30 soil to ammendments and then pile the soil around the stalk up to the bottom set of leaves like na ant mound..continue to do this as the plant grows or the soil compacts. this will cause the stalk normally doing you no good to start growing roots and will cause the plants to just get massive!!

I'd also suggest blood/bone meal....and home depot sells fish emulsion in a bottle which has tons of Nitrogen for the Vegg stage. If pH stability is an issue they also sell dolomite lime. Not sure what all good flowering nutrients they have besides bone meal...not too much selection at my store besides the usual chemical junk miracle gro.

Jack's clasic brand. It's a full profile of major and some minor minerals and elements. most of them anyway. expensive does not make it better. i'm more into organic and i use azomite and some other things in my soil mix. the difference being you can overdo it with salt based fertilizers like Miracle Grow, Jacks and Peters. you CAN"T overdo it with ground, rock minerals. they won't burn plants roots. the difference between salt based ferts and ground minerals is something you'll notice in the finished product. organic tastes better. and for me it's all about the taste.

you realize you just said..dont use bone meal its greater than blood meal....and then im assuming you mean dont use either but you give no reason as to why and go on to whine about altered genetics and shit....ur in the wrong hobbie sounds more like you belong at the gay pride parade

Thanks for the replies. I guess I need to look into it more, it's my first time growing, what is NPK? Also how do you use a PH Tester, and what exactly should you be looking for when testing?

espoma, or black kow original, i compost anything i buy from there with worms for about a month to make it a little bit richer and add anything high in sugar or fruit. you have to remember those bags of soil are sitting in the store for very long, possibly a few months. for seedlings, they have stuff thats low in nutrients, honestly id just start in jiffy pots or peat. they sell clone domes there for pretty cheap, they're perfect for seedling/clones.

if your growing in soil and you want to save money skip the ph testers....that rarely contributes to any type of problem in soil...

i use the $8 soil 3-way soil tester from home depot for testing my pots... and for fertilizer i use osmocote time release 14 14 14 or miracle grow shake n feed 10 10 10 till flowering then its shake n feed rose food 18 24 16 in all my potted plants, from herbs to tomatoes in soil use chicken shit, my own worm castings, my own compost and crumbled up dried eggshells, plaus some shellfish shells now and again.

that fish emulsion stuff works real good but it smells like ass, rotten unwashed ass. if you bring that shit in the house, be prepared for the bachelor life. epsom salts is a dangerous game, too much and your plants die, anything less than that, and you wont see you did anything at all. unless they are hydroponic, most plants will never be short on magnesium, manganese, boron, iron or copper micro nutrients are used in such small amounts most soil already has ample supply for decades of plant growth, and every time you ad any fertilizer all those things come with.

just good old fashioned natural home made fertilizers for soil, and scientific fertilizers for plants n pots works best, osmocote and shake n feed are safe for yuo and your plants, cheap, easy to use, effective and dont stink.

hey...I was just answering the question as to what nutes they would get from home depot that would work well. The ones I posted work awesome and they said they are growing outdoors so the fish emulsion fertilizer is ideal. The epsom salts are for "just in case" not to be used with every feeding. The lime is for ph control. If you want to grow good bud in soil, whether it be indoor or outdoor it is always good to have a soil test kit. There will be a day when they say.."whats wrong with my plant" and that will help them diagnose the problem. I have seen plenty of experienced growers with deficiencies growing outdoors. Its always nice to have the tools available to make it easier.
