The US government is out of control spending-wise. Both Republicans and Democrats. They have completely lost touch with real America.

I'll never forget the quote from a US Senator or House Rep (I forget which) years ago, when he said about government spending: "a billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking about real money". Yeah, right.

Pretty sure that was Everett Dirkson. Here is another one of his:

It WAS Dirksen. Your spelling turned him into a Norwegian, I think his family was from Denmark or Ostfriesland district of Germany, they use the "E" there instead of an "O" in the surname.

Coward? Because I stick my neck out to earn a living for myself and over half a dozen other families while some losers just sit at home and wait for a check in the mail?
