the run i did with it,gave me alot more frost, but not the thickness of hps...

i do like the light tho,and im gonna do a few more runs with it^^^cause that run was next to a 1000 watt hps.

makes me happy to see another person running this light.ill be watching.

How many watts were you using when you used the BLUE? Were the buds airy? I would sacrifice some density for more trichs, but I don't want a bunch of really frosty fluff either...lol...I like big nugs. Good idea for an experiment @ other poster. I 'm getting another tent for next crop....

Heres an update...Day 48 of 12/12. These lights work GREAT.0319141136[1].jpg Ill post pics of the trichs later , they're in the photoperiod right now. FROSTED.

I use the 600 and 1000 watt mh the 7200 k hortilux blue. in veg these bulbs are the 100 % best bulbs you can buy. I have posted about this experiment a wile ago I did a 1000 watt mh blue vs a 600 hortilux hps. what I do is start the plants first 2 weeks with the mh and then switch to hps then last 2 weeks the mh goes back in. I go after yield . so my way gives the best of both quality and yield. the best thing about throwing the mh in it matures much more fast , my opinion 7 days sooner. or more. any ways I stoped the experiment because I notice the yield was looking so much smaller I did not want to lose out on the yield so . 6 plants 1 light 6 the other same genetics from the mother plant same soil same co2 same temps nutrients . mh lost the yield test . but quality was slightly higher . difference in yield per plant would of been a educated guess only would of been around 1/2 ounce less total per plant . I can judge dry yield by looking at the plant I have been around a wile doing this .

I used the blue years ago. But got far better results with CMH. Philips allstart and elite agro line

my advice is try it for your self. the higher quality might be worth the loss of yield. every room is different . I push for yields , its not personal smoke . and mabe your set up will pull more yield then my room.

these are the bulbs he is useing,,and i think he still is?

i did not lose much yield,...this is 600 blue for 600 hps(few runs with these plants)
more compact tops for sure,trich/resin looks moreish...still 20 days to go.

so you have used the hortilux blue yrs ago?hyroot

I got them when they came out. When they only had 400w and 1000w of it. I ran a 1000w. They were $250 a bulb then. They had the best spectrum at the time. Deep red needs to be added. Then I went with digilux and par t5. Then cmh, led and par t5. Then lost everything. Then went par t5 with borrowed lights. Then induction and led

HID & LED + me= DANK

** I can't take all the credit, photosynthetic bacteria use a far wider spectrum than plants and I always use them. Something to thing about for all you others.

I have always used eye hort. 1000 watt bulbs from start to finish then got the crazy idea to go cheep with ipower bulbs 29$ on amazon. They dropped my yield from 1 1/2 lbs per 1000 down to around 3/4. The single biggest mistake I have made growing in 20 years. Just wanted to throw it out so someone else doesn't make the same mistake. Pay the money for quality bulbs!!!
