240w ufo style 4000k + 410nm, 450nm, 660nm, 730nm

seems like a very similar spectrum to the chilled boards which I think are 3000k + 400 + 450 + 630 + 660

they are marketing it as a veg light but I don't see why the spectrum couldn't be a great flowering light...

their specs say 1.6umol/J which seems low but I suppose that's not factoring in the 700+

extremely expensive considering I would want to put 4 of these over each 5x5 area spaced in a grid 2.5' apart from each other... @ $640 each that's ~2500 per 5x5 area... no thx guys but its nice to see a "commercial" unit including UV and 730nm....

literally just built my qb setups this month and wish I hadn't seeing all these new options from gavita, hortilux, spydr2p, and id put money on chilled gen 3 coming pretty soon

I guess neither one of you can actually read. Maybe it is the Spectrum Deficiency you are suffering from cooking your brains under your quantum boards for too long?
Clearly Hortilux states that it is a veg spectrum light designed to VEG a 3x3 :roll:

Because the led Disneyland #'s continue to exclude photons outside the "par" range in the efficiency equation and also ignore the effects a proper spectrum plays on plant shaping.
It's clear @Stephenj37826 is backing out of growing lettuce under QB's. I have a hunch he know's the writing is on the wall and the inferiority of his spectrum will be displayed for all to see.
You are welcome to put your cobs where your mouth is and actually grow some lettuce under them for all to see - unless that is you can't afford the power to do such as that seems to always be your main concern and smart ass comments on the subject of growing food indoors :peace:

Not quit. We are moving into a new warehouse /production facility. We are going through initial factory inspection(last step to be a UL certified facility) installing an Smt line.. Remodeling office space and somehow still running this company. We will be growing plenty in the new space. We'll be doing peppers flowers lettuce lots of research. 4k has been shown to grow lettuce just fine. Currently growing lettuce is pretty low on my priority list. It will happen though.

I highly doubt any light outside the par range is going to help that light go from shit, to better.
