I'd buy the building ... No landlord .. do whatever the city wants .. hell if you can get the meds in a shop and control the whole thing then safety is the only issue . that too could be fixed .. If we were able to do that here I'd have a chain of shops ...

does the state collect tax from the sale ? Do they kick any money to the feds ? i bet thats why the feds are pissed .. they are getting screwed .. so they swoop in and scoup up all the loot and then do nothing afterwards
 
I think that the feds use the laws that allow them to confiscate property, real and otherwise, to take possession of the buildings. Cities and states don't pay federal property taxes, do they?

Now, here's an idea. Set up a fictitious corporation to buy property... but.. ok, my idea's not fully thought out. It's got to be set up so that the corporation can't be touched and the property is retained.

I'll have to go through my papers, but I don't think you pay any type of sales taxes on real property sales or exchanges. I think those are capital gains taxes, but I'm really not sure.

the state collects taxes, yes. as far as the feds, if you make an income you are to report it. if you are dealing dope your are still supposed to report it.
 
The government should just take money from larger companies, and let the marijuana buisness alone. I am blanking right now on how to spell that.
 
i got a message on my home phone while i was sleeping yesterday. it was one of the club owners. she said she knows she owes me money and they are still alive. they are doing there best to get a new building and to get things going again. she didn't say she had money for me but said to call if i'd like. i feel a little better. i will call her in a few hours. update to come.

The oldest rule of pot is money first,pot second.
I know it shouldn't be like that especially with a med club but your best friends and family can be lost when they owe you money or pot.

so you suggest i sit on my weed and starve? :-| i can't feed it to my son, he prefers cocoa crispies. last time i checked you need money to buy cereal. when your ONLY option is a front then you do what you gotta do.

amen... i understand, this is essentially your JOB... especially with the broke leg down time... kids come first, i know you will make it in the long run... hope it doesnt take too long.

fdd's downfall seems to be the same as mine; he trusts people... and he had a good relationship with these people, shit happened overnight

yeah, there are 27,000 pot growers in my town. you take what you can get. the club owes back taxes. 40K worth. they don't have cash on hand to pay out for pounds at a time. it's called cosignment. Consignment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
