Hot and Cold

I am in a tent and just getting going but starting in a 3 by 3 on my balcony for later and a 2 by 2 in a closet inside. The plants seem well but its hitting 87 in the tent during light cycle and about 78 at night in the dark cycle. Are these temperatures ok or what's too hot and too cold.

I am in Van BC and going to try the larger tent on my balcony with some heating help but again not sure on temperatures so any ideas or opinions would be appreciated.

87 is a bit warm, but the plants don’t look like they’re too hot. I watch the leaf edges. If they start curling up, it’s too hot. 78 at night won’t hurt them, but it won’t stay that warm for long at night in Vancouver, will it? How long you planning on running them outside in a tent?

Hey thanks for the reply. Started inside in a 2by 2 at the moment then I will move them outside. It's supposed to be very mild this year but Temps can reach normally down to plus 1234 around there. I do have a space heater with built it tip protection and thermostat. I also have another plan to try heat mats in the bottom and getting the plants off the clod floor so hope that will be enough. Hopefully a cool guat when I water or check on them won't hurt. What do you think.

As long as your nighttime temps stay above 0 and the heater adds a few degrees they’ll survive. Probably better if night time temps didn’t get much below 10c in the tent. They can take a lot of cold, depending on variety, but long periods of cold temps slow growth. They‘ll need some heat during the day. I would like to see at least 15c to know they’re growing decent. Heat mats would be a real help. Put a piece of styrofoam insulation down on the floor and put your pads on top of it and put your plants on them. A warm root zone would help. Cool gust you meant right; no that should be ok, as long as they don’t get too much exposure. I don’t think you’ll be able to run an extraction fan unless you’re pulling in warm air.
Here’s a thought. Look online for a used tent that’s slightly bigger than yours. Put your tent inside it and it’ll help hold in warm air and keep out cold. Should be able to score a decent used one pretty cheap.
