Hot Butter Bhang (Drink)

Anyone ever tried this? I think I'm gonna try to fix it this weekend.

Ingredients

* 8 oz Vodka
* 1/8 oz butter (half a cube)
* 7-9 grams marijuana leaves or buds (crumbled)

Directions

1. Melt butter; stir in marijuana and continue stirring for one minute.

2. While hot and sizzling, pour in 8 oz Vodka.

3. Continue to boil for 30 seconds or more; stirring all the while

4. As it boils, alcohol will evaporate. Remove from heat when the desired amount of alcohol is in the mixture (personal preference)

5. Strain the mesh being sure to squeeze out all the liquid.

6. Sweeten with honey; pour into 4 ounce wine glasses; top with whipped cream.

Looks like it could be great.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, this potion is powerful! I decided to prepare it last night (5pm) after work to test it out at half strength.

I used 1/2 cup of vodka, 3g cannabis buds, 1 TBsp butter, and 1 TBsp honey.

I recommend using a hot plate outside if you can because the smell of sauteing marijuana is absolutely repulsive and the stink is hard to get rid of.

Anyways, it tasted really good and was smooth. Within an hour to an hour and a half I was the highest I have ever been on marijuana and it lasted hours and hours. I finally went to sleep at 1am (7 hours after taking the potion) and I was still flying high as a kite, in fact I'm still mildly high as I write this report.

Be really careful with this one.... please.

Its different all right! After I strained the plant material I ended up with like 2 tablespoons or 2 sips or something like that. I added some honey to sweeten it and it tasted great.

I used 3g of bud ground up in a coffee grinder. As it turned out, it was so god damn potent that after 4 or 5 hours of being a useless, drooling bufoon I actually just wanted it to end!

Yea, the vodka evaporates almost immediately so you don't taste it at all. I think the reason they pour vodka in with it is that it effectively binds the THC to the butter (or ghee) molecules. From what I understand, alcohol doesn't get filtered by the body, it gets absorbed directly from the stomach lining into the bloodstream. The butter/THC gets shuttled with the alcohol directly to the brain and this is why you feel the effects in like 10 minutes or so and it goes on and on and on for hours.

Yea, the original recipe calls for 9g and I dialed it down to 3g and even that was WAY too much. I think next time I will try 1g. In fairness, I'm using grade-A homegrown AK47 buds.

Imagine the highest you've ever been in your life (and I have been smoking for 15 years) and now imagine being that high for 5,6,7, 8 hours or more non-stop! Its fucking scary shit. I was even stoned (to a much lesser extent) the entire next day! Those Indians (from India) must be hard core bastards to drink this every year during the Holi Festival! They must be using leaves or something because I cannot imagine how it would have turned out if I used the 9g originally called for in the recipe.

Dude, its awesome. It tastes like a butter rum or an aged red wine. When you pour in the vodka, it boils as you pour it in and fuses the THC with the butter. The alcohol works as the vessel to move THC directly from the lining of the stomach into the bloodstream.

You have to try it to understand. The smell is repulsive but the drink itself is awesome. You don't taste the vodka and if you didn't prepare it, you would never know there is vodka in it.

Sounds like a cruise drink to me!

note: BE CAREFUL!!! Vodka and butter make this recipe a hot lava tragedy waiting to happen! I wanted to try it so badly, I was up to the cheesecloth smooshing when my less-than-perfect stirring spoon SNAPPED, sending the entire hot, boiling, scaling liquid lava all over my stomach, hip, and thigh. The belt I was wearing caused the hot mixture to pool right at the sensitive skin between my stomach and hip. I fucking stripped right then and there, but that extra second of pooling did some serious damage to my skin. I was shaking and in palpable shock. I demanded mustard.

I spread mustard on my BAD BAD BAD burns, and a 12-inch-long scald turned into a small spot. I have no scars.

Lessons for today:
Be careful and take every precaution, even if you know your way around the kitchen better than any of your friends.
Mustard for burns.

Just tried this. It wasn't bad! The initial taste wasn't great, but the after taste was def Butter rum. I think I am going to experiment with this. Making it a bit more palatable, and incorporating some additional flavor. Maybe a "Butter beer" for all those Potter Heads out there! haha. Stay tuned!
