Hot shot no pest strips.. help !!!

cently had a spider might infestation. i chopped all plants gutted and cleaned room and equipment. and sanitized what i could. i put the room back together and hit it with a dr . doom fogger. im planning on a anothergrow in a month an would like to make sure that what ever bugs that where in the room are dead. I am thinking for the rest of the month wile i prep the grow i will hang a hotshot no pest strip to enssure no pest or bugs or spider mights are in my room when i start. I dont want any chemicals soaked intomy walls that might harm my meds. Do youthink it would be ok to use a nps and pull itout of the room a week before i plantanything or start gardening? any help wouldbe appreciated. thanks tromp1

pest strips = ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spider mites !!!!!!!! . get it I use them every day . note they DO NOT work on beetles . also if your room is empty bomb it with a bug bomb kills every dam thing even you if your in it .

there will be a lot of bashing about these pest strips . the organic nuts say they are toxic to you and plants so on . there are thousands of people currently using these in there gardens with out any issue . and people get there items tested by iron labs for safety they supply aids and cancer patients they use these pest strips . people I know do . I know a lot of people .

I run 'em all season. Half life is a matter of hours in plants. Not sure if they work on russet mites, but haven't had those again since I started using them.

Thanks bug eye!. Do you think it will be a good measure to take before I start seeds. Will the chemical soak into walls or dry wall or my tent ? Just want to make sure all there's things are dead before I start. Thanks for the advice!

Bryan will the bug bomb leave any residue on my town or in my walls that will be toxic to grow my plants. There is nothing living in the room at the moment just prepping will start in about a month.

they've been around since the 60's. they off gas faster when it's hot, vapor is heavier than air and breaks down faster in high humidity conditions. may need several per room

the good kinda bug bombs chemical degrades with light in 2 days or so

I would run your lights for 2 to 4 days non stop get the room hot to hatch out any bugs before you bomb

Use spinosad on your plants in veg and you`ll get very few problems in flower it kills almost every bug and its just some soil bacteria they found under an old rum distillery

Spinosad stays active for 10 to 20 days

I water with it and spray the plants, dipping small ones would be good

then in bloom I use a pyrethrin based bug bomb or spray

I normally bomb my grows with pyrethrin bug bombs every 1 to 2 months, just to keep the bugs away

also I never "flush" just water for 2 weeks makes any bugs in my rootzone start eating plants

So if I wanted to be cheap and just give water I give dextrose and water too

I had issues with thrips in the root zones as well as on the plants, but its under control now

Spidermites I`ve got rid of with just water and a spray gun before

but neem oil, pyrethrin or spinosad works well

I`ve also had good results using Pravado ultimate bug killer fruit and veg (6 week type) in veg, even when the thrips were bad it kept them off the plants for 6 to 10 weeks and they say you can eat fruit sprayed with it after 2 weeks, I normally use it in veg or just at the start of flower before the buds start to set in

If someone was spending time in the rooms or living at their grow, could they put the strips out and go away for 5 hours then come back and put them in plastic bags with seals on them?

i would hit the bug bomb . can buy it from hodedepot if you have so on its like 3 bucks . then let it sit for a entire day . the next day just wipe the walls off with paper towels and water or better yet glass cleaner . evaporates very fast . then your starting clean fresh bug free . and crack open 1 of those pest stripes . in the winter you dont need to run these . only good thing about winter . cold air for the room saves on the electric bill and NO BUGS , there are only a few things worse then bugs . that is rot or mold . keep the humidity in check . and next bad thing is . my DAMN girl friend and her friends taking all the good stuff leaving me none !!!! they can have what ever they can use as long as i get eye candy .
