LST is easy and kinda fun, IMO. I used string and those black metal paper clips to attach to the lip of the pot.
I broke one of the stalks early on. I was too aggressive, I guess. It was very close to breaking completely off. I splinted it and it recovered fully.
Here they are after the first dark cycle of 12/12 (taken just now). They are in 3 gallon pots. The second pic shows where the stalk was broken and recovered. Third pic shows LST in action (from about 2 weeks ago).
nice effort..I, long ago(yes, bak in da dai?, I'm , err, over 40, not saying how much.)) used a frame type thingy made of thick string, intitially bits of wood, then attached all the smaller strings - string theory?
Now I only use strings to tie branches and bricks to hold 'em down - luckily the plants grow nice and uniformly(?), so it ends up looking like a Xmas tree laid down, with strings removed as the branches mature and weigh down with bud..
Just BTW - with the topping, if done correctly, doesn't tend to shock the plant significantly, the benefits are there, there are plenty of peeps who have posted their good results, it's just a matter of when u do it and the right genetix - some pot (Sats mainly IMO)just doesn't like being f'ed with..anyway, GL, I'm sure U will have success!!!
