Hi peeps,

I was just watering my plant and snapped her main cola like a retard,

It's been on 12/12 for 18 days now, i have taped the stem back together, it snapped about 3/4 through the stem.

Will she be ok?

Enjoy!

doubt full, this has never happen to me usually they are strong enough to handle the slight taps they get while watering.
um dont fully qoute me on this wait to see if others agree but IMO i would take some superthrive and act as if the plant was a clone though idk man, sorry to say you messed up.

Enjoy!

I snap stems all the time. Just splint it somehow (I usually use electrical or duct tape). It should heal on it's own. It may slow growth and the main cola may be a little bit smaller but it should be fine. :bigjoint:

You really think it will bounce back, that would be great.

the leafs are a bit droopy now too.

Just baby it and be careful with it. As long as it's still attached and the vascular tissue is still partially functioning it should heal itself up in about a week or 2. Cannabis is amazingly resilient. Seriously, I snap branches all the time (I'm so freakin' clumsy). Best of luck to you my friend. :bigjoint:

you can get lucky and it might fix itself if you splint it up like they said. if not just whack the rest off no big deal you just have a newly topped plant lol

Update!

I have now removed to snapped top, i was very hard to tape up so it was nice and tight so i just removed it.
What will happen now?

will growth below the snap will form the new cola now?
How much will this decrease yield?
How long extra is this hicup going to add on to the flowering time?

Thanks for the help people!

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. It will decrease your yield a little bit but it should bounce back and you should be fine. I have never taken a top cola completely off before so I'm not sure if it kind of forms a new one or not. Don't worry about it now. Just try to be more careful in the future. Shit happens to everybody at some point. Best of luck my friend. :leaf:

You should probably stop flowering and leave the lights on longer so the plant will grow its top back and then flower it

Don't do that unless you want to waste about 5 weeks and make you plant question it'e sexuality.
With the top gone the lower buds will end up bigger.
