Yeah, I hear you, but they do have a good point. No other industry is being subjected to this type of ruling. Just converting parking lots would save much more energy than the entire cannabis grow industry by orders of magnitude.
We aren't really a greenhouse friendly state; at least not for 4 season grows.
This is a common objection but it just isn't true; the food industry is full of safety regulations, the energy industry is having to retire coal fired power plants, ships have to switch to low sulphur bunkering and new ships are going to be required to use natural gas, autos have to get better mileage, houses are mandated to be better insulated and use high efficiency furnaces and on and on it goes.
And all those regulations are good for us, the environment and the customer's wallet.
And the fact that there are lots of states that aren't greenhouse friendly for all 4 seasons means that once indoor growing is efficient enough, it can take on the job of growing food in the winter.
That last part is what I'm working on- and the groundwork was laid by pot growers, just like hot rod builders and NASCAR can thank moonshiners for their popularity.
