How can a person grow outside in a highly urbanized area?

I would like to grow as many plants as possible outside in an area that has lots of woods but a decent amount of people as well. How is this possible?

not sure that it is possible without someone stumbling onto them..... I'd just keep them spread out as much as possible so that if someone finds one, they may not find them all.

these both seem like good idea's too.... especially up in the trees. I know there is thread about someone doing this this season.

Tarzan Style? interesting. Is it better to go at night(less traffic) or during day with like a camera or something?

There are multiple forest like areas around me - should I just plant in all of them for best chances of survival?

Should I just take germinated seeds out there or actual well developed seedlings?

at night
definitely spread them around
i'd do well developed seedlings for best survival rate

i would suggest planting in middle of bushes(hallow out) they wont get alot of sunlight and will be stunted but a 3 footer is beter then a no footer nad a bunch of these spaced out in different bushes could get u a very nice yeild.....bush will help mask smell aswell....this is prolly ur best bet just cut the middle of a bush out...dont cut root tho cause if it dies ur screwed....then place a pot in the middle and walla...plus animals wont get it aswelll.......i think i mite try this next year actualy

i live in a heavily populated area
what you do is go through the woods
the area thats the biggest pain in the ass to get in
is the best area possible
i am growing 15+ plants in woods near my house
there are thorn bushes throughout
and the ground is covered in poisen ivy and poisen oak

do NOT grow on rooftops that is a very bad idea if a police chopper goes by and sees that your screwed also if people are gonna be around the plant i would not grow around there because once it gets big people will easily smell it just find some woods somewere

the poison oak is my #1 hide spot! I love it(cause I'm immune to ivy, sumac and oak)...but poison oak creates thickets here. you could hardly do better with a minefield for keeping people out!
