How can I change my light cycle?

Hey fellow growers, I've got a micro CFL/led grow going on currently in the extra room of my house but the room isn't air conditioned and I'm having some heat problems. I switched to a flowering light cycle about 4 weeks ago, lights on at 10:30am and off at 10:30pm, and being mid-summer in Oregon the room is consistently getting into the mid-80's. What I'd like to know, is can I just leave my plant in darkness for 24 hours and continue the 12/12 but with the lights on at night instead so as to avoid the heat issues?
or is there another way to do this?

Yeah, wouldn't be a problem at all.

Down under in summer i run my LEDS through the night, i grow in a huge closet, no venting or airconditioning other than me swinging the door like an axe yeilding maniac and a fan in there, idea is too run your lights when it's the coldest
