How can I find out?!

How can I find out what strain I’ve grown? Let me explain. I received some gift seed a few years back and decided to plant them in my yard early this year. The plant was terribly neglected and only received nutes in the last 3 weeks of bloom phase. None the less, the buds that came off the plant were nothing less than phenomenal!! And the smoke was fantastic!! In the last month of this plants life, it was giving of a wonderful grape-ish scent and the buds were very nice sized but more importantly... the smoke was fantastic!!!!!! How can I get the seeds or the buds tested for strain? Anyone know someone? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Ask who you got the seeds from.

Well if you got seeds still. Just call it what ever you want. That’s how the seed market is going anyway lol

I can’t find the person I got the seeds from. We have unfortunately have lost touch. But I have yet another question. Does anyone know if you can DNA test for strain? I really want this strain! I have so many seeds from it because it was pollenated by a male I keep in the yard. So now even if I knew the original seed strain, it’s something new and wonderful now and I want the genetics of it!!! Anyone have any ideas? If not I’m going to come out with my own strain!! Yeah baby!!

Wow, nice result for such an unstable plant.

Sorta looks like a Snowball BUT, if you had seeds? It's no way, as Snowball was only given away at trade shows and cups by the breeder (Ethos).

Insanely large and dense buds. You have to be careful at finish as they get so dense that bud rot can happen quickly.


Other then that. Your outa luck as far as ever figuring out what it is....

Thanks for replying everyone!! I’m going to grow it anyway because it was good!! For those of you who live in legal states and have lots of sunshine in your grow space, I recommend starting your grow inside and moving to the outside for bloom! Super big dense nugs and all you have to do is keep up on water and nutes!! I was so nice off of this plant and I am going to cross with future #1 or black water of (my next 2 plants for grow)! I’ll keep you posted!! Have a gray new year everyone!! Looking forward to 420 next year for real!! Covid better go on somewhere and leave us alone!!! Happy growing!

Does it even matter what strains it actually is? As long as you love it thats all that matters at the end of the day.
