Awesome, I love the ambition:) IMO You should start with a small set up with 1-6 plants. As far as how many lights and all that. There is a lot that goes into it. Take a look around this forum.. Lighting, Ventilation etc. IMO its nice to start with smaller plants and a smaller set up. I started with 2000W with 4 plants. It was a lot of work to produce 2 lbs from that. Most experienced gardeners could pull 3-4 lbs. I learned how to dial in my nutrients and grow a healthy plant, and then with profits and more knowledge added lights and plants.

It depends on skill level and strain. Square footage wise, a 1000 watt has a spread of about 4x4 feet, so how ever you're gonna configure it just space them accordingly (I have 2 rows and space them 4 ft apart measuring from the center of the hoods). I usually get a little over a pound per light, its definitely possible to get more..you just have to make sure you have a full even canopy with bushy plants. I focus on having zero down time in between runs..so sometimes they havent vegged long enough before bringing them into the flower room ,but my harvests are like clockwork. If you grow on a regular basis, harvests per year is just as important as yield per harvest. Good luck

3 x 1000W HPS + 3 x 860W Philips CDM (ceramic discharge metal halide, best bulb on the market:(-->CLICK HERE<--), put them all in vertical OG Hoods (The best hood on the market: (-->CLICK HERE<--) Have them staggered, on a light mover, so 1000W HPS + 860W CDM + 1000W HPS + 860W CDM, over a flood table with some kind of hydro setup, good co2 supplementation and do a SOG, keep the plants short trimming side branching and popcorn, you'll get one huge fat cola per plant (this setup could produce 3oz colas or possibly better) and you'll harvest sooner and more times per year so you end up with more weight in the long run. This setup would definitely get you close to your goal.

Well it would depend on the size of your grow and the CFM rating of your inline fan, if you have a hydro shop locally then just let them know the the size of your grow space and CFM rating of your inline fan, if there anything like my go to hydro shop GreenFire then they'll take care of you no prob, especially if you buy the CF from them, however you could just post the specs of your grow here and I'm sure someone could tell you which size to get.

For real, for that size of a grow, you have your work cut out for you. I would go with 1000W and 2 nice size plants. work your way up from there. Hit the books, it will avoid lots of possible headaches. Also, pick your strains, buy those seeds and then take clones from those plants. You don't need $600 in seeds. I would also recommend starting out running 1 strain. Learn that strain and a good nute regiment.

Well, I can pull ~15lbs from 6K in a bit less than 100ft2. One LST'd/pruned plant per every ~1.25ft2. For a new grower, be happy with a pound per 1K to start. It can be a very long road.

You're absolutely right in thinking that genetics will make or break the grow. This is how folks like me get their moms: Seeds are purchased and grown out. Their cuttings are cloned and the better individuals are flowered again. On average, it takes at least 2 runs to isolate a good mom, if you get lucky. If you don't get lucky, it's ~5 months down the drain. Of course you could better your chances by flowering many individuals, keeping track of all the (individual) clones, etc. I've done that, as well. It's work. A lot of work and a lot of time spent. If you think you can do it and are ready for all the disappointments that come along with inexperience, I wish you the best.

As for odor control, you're beyond carbon filters. I use O3 and that involves a bit of planning, as well. Have you considered how you'll power something this size? I work from a dedicated 100A subpanel. Do you have such an option?

Totally depends on the style you grow. I've seen Heath Robinson pull down 12lbs from 2400w doing a SOG vertical grow (aeroponic as well), might have been 1800w. This was on Overgrow. You can get gigantic yields from modest light if you grow a lot of small plants on rotation.

The rotation is somewhat important as it allows your bigger plants more room to breath and the smaller plants don't suffer for it.

It's a matter of willing to be federally fucked or not.

you should check out the mr. nice auction I just got a shark shock autumn cleaning pack 50-60 seeds(1 gram) for $55 U.S. and from the grows on their forum looks to me like their best widow hybrid. every strain I've ordered from their has been atleast half off what the seed banks charge. your still gonna want to find some good mother plants though but you can run a big selection of mr. nice beans for cheap as hell.

I can't even imagine what your electric bill would be after you add that much light. Lol! Trying to get 15 lbs. is alot off of a single run. I know that if you haven't ever grown before trying to grow a bunch of plants should be interesting to say the least. I wish you the best of luck. I keep my hands full with a single light. Lol!
