I have never grown mushrooms but from what I know you would let them fruit then take the cap and place it on some clean white paper and take a spore print after that point I have no clue maybe someone else or google can help

You take the colonized cakes an mix them 1 to 4 with pasteurized compost (40 coco, 50 manure, 10 compost) When the compost colonizes you mix it 1 to 4 with more compost.

Spore syringes are for innoculating liquid culture not grain.

I finally bought a pressure cooker ,so now have mycelium in a liquid ,it's so much easier ! I have innoc a bag of grain two weeks ago and have bought a new teranium and a bag of vermiculite but I am finding it hard to get info on layering ,has any one got the laymen terms.i have also read cubes don't need layering so wot do I do cover the slab of grain/mycelium with soaked verm or leave it ? Any answers would be lovely

Mix the colonized grain in the compost/manure/coco mixture. Colonize, fruit. No need for vermiculite. Save some grain in the fridge. Once you have compost growing you can double your volume every few weeks.

Or.... Case. you don't have to, but if you want good yields orchestrated fruiting and continuous production - case.

You'll get about the same if you case or if you don't. It has been proven that casing will yield about the same as not casing..

Oh tylerrrrr.

I shant start again on this, but I will say that IN MY EXPERIENCE, even if the yield is the same, one is more likely to have an even, dense, orchestrated pinset if one cases than if one does not. One is also more likely to damage the substrate itself if one does not case. Although I will concede that casing is more conducive to contamination.
