How can same strain go bad over years?

Hi

Total new to breeding or I don't know what to call that but reading that DNA genetics la confedational and other their strain gone bad through the years so really don't get it...
If they have same male how can strain go from awesome to schwag over couple a years... Not only DNA gen... I hear it all the time.. Ooo it wasn't that it yous to be... wtf... Do breeders do something wrong or what...

Not many breaders in todays world all I see is crosses being made to sell no real breading going on any moor.

or what are growers doing? have a couple fire dna strains i like there gear alot!

As time goes by they sometimes lose one of the parent plants and are forced to use f2 or f3 and the gene pool obviously changes.
A large majority of the strains out right now are poly hybrid and not often worked.
There’s many reasons why the genetics change over time and no one is gonna be able to lock down one specific reason.

cuts aka same ole same mom plants get worn out too, the genetic drift struggle is real.

What is your favorite

he means how come the quality differs from seed batch to another seedbatch years later.

my answer is because breeders arent using same parents as they claim. pretty sure Subcool hasnt held on to space dude fpor 10 plus years. his agent orange and jillybean wewre bunk last run and fiore the first time around.

genetice drift doesnt carry through on the progeny. also, when back/or
crossed it revives the strain and provides hybrid vigor

ive never grown La con, or smoked it! i have two holy grails both phenos are gasoline like some diesel smell one is tall one is short and bushy both fire one brown hairs other yellowish besides them i consider reserve pravadas skywalker one of my favorites of all times but i lost the pheno i had because it was my first grow and i didnt clone her! everyone i know put her in there top 5 best smoke! i had a fire chocolope pheno! and my new favorite i can garantee i will get a fire pheno off is the double stuffed sorbet... sorbet x dosido.. or the galato x sorbet they have now! someone said i was the luckiest with phenos that i find... i just think i get my plants to there maxed potential at all times!

There is no regulation when it comes to peddling beans. Every trick in the book gets tried so don't be so baffled. It's more the norm than the exception. In fact I can't think of one Breeder that has released consistent batches of any line for a clean decade straight. Maybe they could if they only worked one line. A line they are actually passionate about.

It can be a rough life for old clones.
Pests, disease, systemic illness, hormonal stress... Could be anything.
